🐾 Surrey’s parks are shared spaces, and a little courtesy goes a long way in creating a positive experience for pets, wildlife, and fellow visitors.

When enjoying local parks and trails, remember to keep dogs leashed where required, clean up after your pet, respect natural habitats, and give others plenty of space. These simple habits help keep parks safe, welcoming, and enjoyable for everyone.

Being a responsible pet parent isn't just about caring for your own pet it's about being a good neighbour too. 💚

Rabbits, birds, and hamsters have unique physiological needs that require specialized diagnostic approaches. Our Procyte DX, IDEXX Catalyst One, and Sedivue systems are calibrated for multi-species analysis. Small mammal medicine isn't a side service here, it's a deliberate primary capability. We understand the subtle differences in blood chemistry, imaging requirements, and handling techniques for each species. Whether it's dental issues in rabbits, respiratory concerns in birds, or metabolic problems in hamsters, we get accurate answers in-house.
No guesswork, no highway trips to specialists for basic diagnostics. Call +1 (604) 372-4411 & talk to our today.

Fraser Valley trails are calling, but summer hiking with pets requires preparation. Heat stroke develops quickly and can be fatal. Watch for excessive panting, drooling, weakness, or vomiting. Prevention is key: hike during cooler morning hours, bring plenty of water for both of you, take frequent shade breaks, and check pavement temperature with your hand. If it's too hot for your palm, it's too hot for paw pads. Know your pet's limits and turn back early if needed.

We're here seven days a week until 10 PM if you have concerns about heat-related illness. Call +1 (604) 372-4411.

Warm weather is here, and so are the seasonal risks that can affect our pets.

Even on mildly warm days, dogs and cats can become overheated more quickly than many pet parents realize. Walks during peak temperatures, time spent in parked vehicles, and inadequate hydration can all increase the risk of heat-related emergencies.

A few simple precautions providing fresh water, avoiding the hottest parts of the day, and recognizing early warning signs can help keep your pets safe and comfortable all summer long.

Because when it comes to heat safety, prevention is always better than treatment. 💙🐶🐱
