It’s been a frightening few days with the Paddy’s Pond wildfire 🔥 On Tuesday, we made the decision to evacuate the horses for their safety when the smoke at our barn became too much.
We appreciate the people who reached out to offer help. We wish we could name every one of you—but for fear of missing someone, please know you are in our hearts and we are forever thankful. This includes our own Wesgate boarders who were phenonimal 💚
A big thak you to Michael Dinn, Linda & Justin Pike, Renee Hamlyn, Sue Quigley, and others who jumped into action, showing up at the barn with trailers as soon as they heard we were evacuating. An extra-big thank you to Katrina Butler, Jess Anstey, and Rainbow Riders, along with your amazing teams, for opening your doors to our horses, ponies, goat, and donkey—giving them safe sleepovers and the best care possible.
In moments like these, it’s incredibly comforting to know we have you in our corner, ready to help at a moment’s notice 💚 Thank you so much!!
With that being said, we are so happy our babies are home safe!! Thank you to the first responders fighting these wildfires, risking it all to keep our community safe - the real heroes!! Thank you!! 🚒🚁🚨💚
