If it were possible to adopt a kid who already has an amazing family, you'd be the one I'd pick.
From a little 14 year old girl who asked to volunteer to a 16 year old rider, you have truly blossomed. To be your coach for the last 14 months is an honor. I am so proud of this beautiful moment and all of your accomplishments. Having you ride my boy in a show that I coached you for was a very bittersweet moment for me.
Many of you don't know but Charlie was a scraggly, malnutritioned and ugly little 6 month old foal my mother picked up off a field on Halloween who's path was leading down a dark hole with a short life. He's now a handsome gelding with his entire life and riding career ahead of him. A dear friend said something that really touched me yesterday, "he's paying you back for what you did for him".
Thank you Rowan for giving him this amazing opportunity and carrying him through his first western show. You are a true star my girl.
