What an incredible Giving Tuesday. Our hearts are full. 💛🐾
Thank you to everyone who donated, shared our posts, left a kind comment, or held the beagles in your thoughts yesterday. You helped make this one of the most generous Giving Tuesdays we have ever had.
Your kindness is already helping dogs like Jiggs, Kevin, and so many others who needed medical care, safety, and time to heal this year.
The collage we are sharing today is a window into who you helped. These are the faces behind the numbers. Every gift you made helped cover vet visits, food, and the day-to-day care that keeps them safe and loved while they wait for their forever homes. Your donations make all of this possible.

It has been an incredible day of giving, and you have gone above and beyond for the beagles.

Before we end the night, here is a sweet moment of Kevin before he headed off to his trial adoption (Yay, Kevin! We are all cheering you on!). Moments like this happen because of you. A soft place to land. Room to play and be themselves. A chance to feel loved.

Kevin’s moment is one of many this year. Jiggs and so many others have felt that same comfort because of your kindness.

A little joy from the shelter this afternoon. These two beagles are loving the warm, safe environment here and the new friends they have made. 🐾💛

Some of our dogs enjoy playtime and comfort at the shelter, and others, like Jiggs, are recovering in cozy foster homes where they can heal with the veterinary care and support they need. Every dog receives safety, routine care, and a gentle place to land because of your generosity.

So far this year, 138 beagles have entered our care and in most cases medical treatment. Our vet bills for 2025 have already exceeded $90,000, and this number continues to grow as new dogs arrive needing help.

Meet Jiggs, the beagle your Giving Tuesday donations are helping today. 💛
Jiggs came into our care after a difficult start in life. He had been kept outdoors and neglected before being rescued and placed into a safe, warm foster home where he is now surrounded by love.
Recently, he had surgery to remove a tumour from his paw, and thankfully the veterinary team was able to save his leg. His surgery is estimated at $3,200 to $4,400, along with weekly checkups as he continues to heal. As you can see, he is finally safe, cozy, and settling into the comforts of a real home.
Your donation today is doubled up to $5,000, helping cover Jiggs surgery and supporting the many beagles in our care who need comfort, safety, and a new start.

And they have BIG news to share. A long-time supporter is matching all donations today up to $5,000, giving us the chance to raise $10,000 in one day for beagles who need care, safety, and a fresh start.
