Reminder to stay AWAY from Foxtail Grasses as they can be a huge hazard to our pets!! They are now out with their seed heads.

Foxtail plants can be risky for our pets as they have barbed seed heads that can get stuck and work their way into any part of your pet such as in their paws, gums, noses, throat, inside ears and even eyes causing discharge, abscesses, swellings and pain.

Try your best to stay clear of these at all costs!

If you suspect your pet has an embedded foxtail within them, please let us know right away! 🐾

🦷✨ Miss Rosie came in for a dental cleaning with Dr. Pfiefer! This sweet girl is always such a pleasure to have in the clinic; her adorable personality melts hearts every time 💕🐾

Once she was fully wakened up from her procedure, Dr. Pfiefer sent her home early so she could finish recovering in the comfort of her own home and avoid any stress. We know she’s getting all the love and cuddles she deserves! 🛏️🐶💗

🚨 Wildfire Smoke & Your Pets: What You Need to Know 🚨

With wildfire smoke in the air, it’s not just humans who are affected; our pets feel it too!

With wildfire smoke affecting air quality in our area, we want to remind pet parents to take extra precautions to keep your furry family members safe🐶🐱

Smoke inhalation can impact pets too, especially those with respiratory issues, brachycephalic breeds, senior pets, and very young animals.

👀 Watch for signs like:
🔸 Coughing or sneezing
🔸 Eye irritation
🔸 Laboured breathing
🔸 Fatigue or disinterest in food

To help protect your pets:
🏠 Keep them indoors as much as possible
🚶‍♂️ Limit outdoor walks and playtime
💧 Ensure constant access to fresh water
🌬️ Use air purifiers or fans to circulate indoor air
