It’s Veterinary Receptionist Appreciation Week, and honestly… where would we be without Jenn and Alison? Probably double-booked, lost, and answering our own phones (yikes 😅).
These two are the true captains of Granada Vet Clinic—keeping the schedule in check, the chaos under control, and the rest of us pointed in the right direction (most of the time 😉).
Jenn (cat mom to Marzo) and Alison (cat mom to Lulu) somehow juggle ringing phones, happy clients, worried pet parents, and the occasional clinic curveball—all with patience, kindness, and a sense of humor.
We’re pretty sure they deserve unlimited candy (ahem Alison!) and a trophy… or at least a very quiet lunch break 🍬🏆
Thanks for keeping the ship afloat (and the rest of us sane)! We appreciate you more than you know 💙

Dr. Spring is out of the clinic this week to attend one of North America’s largest veterinary conferences! She’ll be taking in 4 full days of lectures, brushing up on a bunch of topics and learning the best new techniques and treatments we can provide for our Granada patients! Continuing education keeps us up to date on standards and current recommendations in our industry. We’re so excited to hear what she learns!

We would like to welcome Kyra to the Granada Family!! You have probably seen this face around if you have been at the clinic in the last few months.

Kyra graduated from NAIT in 2025 and became an RVT because caring for animals has been her passion for as long as she can remember—even back in kindergarten. She loves being part of a team that helps pets live happier, healthier lives.
When she’s not at work, Kyra is usually outside camping or hiking, or curled up with a good book. She lives with her two cats, Rezz and Rose, her dog, Davis, and her boyfriend, Jordan

❤️

This week is Veterinary Technician Appreciation Week! 🐾

Sarah, Rebecca, and Kyra are our superstar technicians — the backbone of our clinic! We’d be absolutely lost without them.

The list of responsibilities these amazing women handle is a mile long: from technical skills like blood collection, catheter placement, surgical prep and monitoring, and dental cleaning, to the behind-the-scenes work of medical logging, client communication, drug calculations, and record keeping.

They can pivot in an instant when an emergency walks through the door, all while keeping things running smoothly and still finding time for some patient cuddles. 💙

So if you see them this week, give them a big THANK YOU (or maybe some coffee… or snacks 😅).

We seriously couldn’t do this without them! ❤️

Parsley wanted to let you know that FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 5 FROM 12 PM - 1 PM we will be CLOSED for a staff meeting. This means our doors will be closed and our phones will be off during that time. Thank you for understanding.

Mishi update! The general consensus at the clinic was also that it would be a doll shoe. Some may have gotten more specific and called it a clog from an Elsa or Anna doll from Frozen.
Now Mishi's mom does not think that is possible as she only has boys and they don't own any dolls with shoes like this. Under further investigation it is believed to be an antler that has been chewed off a reindeer toy.
We are happy to report Mishi is at home and healing well. I guess in the end only Mishi will ever really know what he ate
