One evening at a dinner party one of our good friends posed the question to the group "What would you do if you won the lotto for $10 million today?". Everybody in the group was quick to rattle off loans they would pay off, things they would buy for themselves and loved ones, trips they would take and charities they would support. Most importantly, they all said "I would quit my job tomorrow!". I

was the only one at the table who said I would do all the same things except I wouldn't quit my job. I said I would invest in my veterinary practise and continue practising. Anybody who knows me would not be even a little bit surprised by my response. I absolutely love what I do and have never felt like I have worked a day in my life. Until that dinner party, I had not realized what a gift I had, to love my work. I want to spend the remainder of my career practising in my own community and contributing something back to this wonderful group of people who have shaped this lovely rural neighbourhood. Our community is a joy to live in, a paradise for our children and full of people who love animals as much as I do.

We would like to officially — and VERY excitedly — welcome a second veterinarian to our HLAH team, Dr. Emily Court! 👩🏻‍⚕️🩺

Dr. Court recently graduated from the University of Calgary with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. She is excited to begin her career and explore the many aspects of veterinary medicine, with a deep passion for client care, surgery, and working with our rescue program! 🐾🐶🐱

Dr. Court currently has one fur baby (for now😜). His name is Wallace, and as you can see from the picture, he is absolutely adorable! Wallace is a rescue, and not only does he have the cutest notch in his ear, but he is also missing both of his upper canine teeth, leaving him with the most adorable gummy smile! 😊

Not only is Dr. Court excited to have completed her education, but she is also thrilled to be back closer to home, having grown up in Sherwood Park.

With that said, we are in need of your help! 📢 Dr. Court is currently looking for a place to rent or buy in or around the Tofield area. Her only requirement is a pet-friendly home. A yard would be a bonus, but it is not necessary. 🏠

If you or anyone you know has, or knows of, a place that may be available, please send the information our way — we would greatly appreciate it!

We’re excited to have two new students helping the team! You’ll be seeing Celise a VMA student, and Jessie a RVT around the clinic as they learn and grow with us.

&& how can we not mention the others in the photo we have the adorable 4wk old Gilbert 🐑 🐑 and the puppy is Mack 🐶🐶 welcome to the world little ones! 💛

We have a Grey and White, Stray Female Cat in our Rescue. She was found in the area. She has a tattoo but unfortunately we cant make out the last couple numbers.

Right now we are currently treating her condition🥺 But, She is stable and happy. If you have any information about her, or think she is yours.
