Dr Anna, “Caring to Make a Difference” in this little life ❤️‍🩹 We are grateful to be a part of the wonderful work Salt Spring Cat Orphanage does supporting young neonatal kittens so they can thrive and live long lives filled with love 🥰

The are 8 weeks old today. While most of the kittens have thrived and gained weight, Cyrus has always lagged behind. Over the long weekend, his appetite declined and eventually stopped. We gave him Sub Q fluids and began syringe feeding until we could get him to the vet this morning.

Thank you, Dr Anna of Gulf Island Veterinary Clinic , for your caring treatment of Cyrus during his exam. A f***l exam has led to a diagnosis of coccidia. SIGH! Not our first rodeo, not even the first of 2026. More concerning is Cyrus’s small size. He is almost 200 grams lighter than his siblings. Once he is larger, blood tests might shed light on his liver function as a possible complication.
