This is the face of a dog who was formally kept on a short rope, for YEARS... on an outing to Steve's office after a long walk and a short car ride... What do you think he's thinking??

These little "chipmunks" aren't ready for adoption quite yet, but we wanted to update as they were in rough shape.
Our liason got them vet checked for us and their wounds cleaned up... Things weren't as infected as we thought and only one needed antibiotics.
We had them transported to a loving foster home and are thrilled to see them getting chubby and rambunctious.

The wounds are a mystery we really don't want to try and solve. They are too uniform to be a dog bite, they look more like a tool of some sort. And one of the tails has some strange cut lines.

Its not hard to imagine why we try so hard to find fosters and adopters when we hear these stories... And then when we meet the puppies our hearts literally explode a tiny bit...

We're welcoming applications and will reach out to keep everyone up to date on their progress, but another vet visit is still on the horizon!

Phoenix gets so much love and attention when he's out and about... He is just too much!! Such a character.
And the Raven group thought he was perfect for their new business to sponsor... As he needs some healing, and is all about healing...

Whenever we have alot of puppies in care we worry about the adult dogs we have.
We worry they will get overlooked. They are the ones that pull on our heartstrings the hardest. They often show up confused and scared with very little knowledge about how a dog is supposed to live. They don't know beds, homes, warmth, consistent meals or a loving touch.
We search for families that will not only love them for life, but will give them the time needed to settle...

This is Duchess
Before coming into rescue this young lady only knew chaos. We have learned that she's slow to warm up & then very quick to bond.
She is very food and praise motivated.
Duchess is a true rescue, only one year old and already had a litter, brought into care & learning how to be a trusted family member.
We are looking for a family that will give her the time, patience and love to settle in and become the loving companion we know she's going to be.

Meet Curly Sue.

She is a lovely little pup with lots of energy!
She's playful with her littermates and follows when called, she was the first one to p*e outside :) and definitely loves all the attention.
Curly is the biggest of the 3 girls.
The 3 sisters are being fostered at a farm and while the other two are cautious about the cows, Miss Curly barked and hackled up, she's brave for sure.
She's a beautiful brindle with a soft, shiny coat.

Introducing the Magnificent Seven...
Let's sum up these puppies in a word to describe each...

Moss, the biggest of the bunch and one of those lucky beings who can "sleep through anything." We'd call him "chill" for sure!

Puddle, aka Mr FOMO. It doesn't matter whats going on, this little man needs to be in the thick of everything.. In one word we would call him "curious!!"

Pebble. She's brave, affectionate and checks out the surroundings... Making sure it's an ok situation for all her siblings. "Bold" sums her up.

Twiggy. She is the smallest of the bunch and the quietest. It's taken her the longest to warm up, but now that she's comfy she likes her snuggle time with her people. Then she's content to curl up under the chair, close by. She is the least demanding. She's "sweet"... There's not a better word to describe her.

Ivy. It's hard to get a read on Ivy with her unique eyes. Not blue, not brown... A bit of both. She looks at us and it feels like she's looking into your soul. She likes to play and loves to snuggle. But will wait her turn for whatever is being offered. She's a "polite" little one.

Meadow. This little girl is the vocal one. She's boisterous, curious and will let you know when she needs something... In a word "confident"

Squirrel. With her soft approach and beautiful markings this girl will steal your heart before you realize she's done it. She has brindle legs and eyes that look a tiny bit sad... We would call her "subtle"

It truly takes a community to keep a rescue going, and we are endlessly grateful for every single person who helps make it possible.

To our transport volunteers who spend hours on the road getting dogs safely where they need to be, to our fosters who open their homes and hearts, to our volunteers who give their time, energy, and love behind the scenes, and to our donators who help provide food, vet care, supplies, and second chances — thank you.

Because of you, scared dogs find safety, hungry dogs get full bellies, and forgotten dogs get the chance to become beloved family members.

We may be the faces people see online, but this rescue belongs to an entire community of compassionate humans. We could not do this without you, and we are so incredibly thankful to have you beside us on this journey.
