If you were to incorporate our blueberry beef liver bark into a typical BARF (biologically appropriate raw food) diet everyday, this would be the cost breakdown based on pet weight.

80lbs- $1.66, would last 9 meals
50lbs- $1.00, would last 15 meals
25lbs- $.50, would last 30 meals
12.5lbs- $.25, would last 60 meals
6lbs- ¢12.5, would last 120 meals

But most likely, you aren’t using our bark as apart of a homemade diet but rather a once-in-awhile treat…so 1 bag should last you double, if not, triple amount of the time!

On average, our blueberry beef liver bark costs $2-$3 more when comparing other air dried liver treats in the same quantities. The difference? 100% of our products comes from BC ranchers and producers- small, family based businesses that truly care about animal welfare and sustainable agricultural practices- is that worth the extra $2? As we close our 2024 chapter, we are full of gratitude and are truly so thankful for the support we have received.

Have you tried one of our chews yet ??

I love creating in the kitchen. I do not follow recipes well though, and rather fly by the seat of my pants. This often means I fail a lot 😂

Painful lessons learned last week, with beautiful local produce. Hard on my heart, and my wallet 🫠

I have a big market coming up in 5 weeks. Many of the vendors that are attending are creating beautiful, specific items for the event and I’ve put all kinds of pressure on myself to do the same to match the theme (🍓)

I was aiming for beautiful freeze dried whole strawberries, and a few with peanut butter drizzle. They were perfect when I bagged them up (thought they were ready) but had shrivelled up the next day 😭 so some had moisture still in them and were in fact, not ready.

I’m going to pop them in the air dryer and see if I can salvage them and still make a crunchy treat- 🤞🏼

If only Instagram could have a smell button- these dried strawberries smell UNREAL.

There’s a few new faces here, thought we’d reintroduce ours!

If you’re new here, welcome to our page. If you’ve been here a while, we appreciate you and thank you so much for the support 🫶🏼

As single ingredient treats and toppers have been gaining popularity and pet treat businesses have been popping up everywhere lately- we wanted to highlight a few key factors about our business that we believe makes us stand out from the crowds.

1. We are small, and we support small. It’s just myself and Rudy here, and I have to say he does a lot more taste testing than I’d like 😅. By supporting other small local businesses, we actually know our farmers that we get our ingredients from. We know their faces, and their names and the quality of their meats/produce because we are in constant contact with them and visit their properties often.

2. I pick up, clean, trim, scrub, and sort the ingredients prior to placing them in our dryer or freeze dryer. Once they’ve been processed, I sort, label and package our products, there is no middle man! With the help of I am able to utilize commercial grade equipment and kitchen space that a small business owner like myself, really couldn’t manage on my own.

3. Yes, we actually *m a k e* our treats. There are a ton of businesses that purchase white label wholesale treats, and repackage them as their own. We don’t do that here. Every product I offer has been in my hands. Roughly 1,000lbs since we sold our first bag of treats 😳

4. With every purchase, you are not only supporting many other local businesses within the community, but you are also helping my family in a big way. I started this business because I wanted better for Rudy. He continues to eats fresh, raw food thanks to your support. He gets well looked after at day care when I’m picking up extra work or working a long weekend of markets. I now have an emergency fund for Rudy. And started an education fund for my daughter.

My life long dream is to settle on a few acres, and while this side business of mine might not get us there, my family is grateful nonetheless.

Here at Rudys Barkary, I have been working hard behind the scenes on some special new products that I hope to be releasing soon!

A look into a typical meal for Ruds featuring our Broth’d Carrots, and dried organ mix!

Our freeze dried carrot treats have been gently cooked in fresh marrow broth, making a wholesome treat that benefits eye health, gut health as well as skin and coat! Serve as a topper or an occasional treat!

Our beef organ mix is a mix of gently dried, grass fed beef heart, kidney and liver.
