Many changes over the years but with the help of our family and great staff we continue to farm. Picnic area. All pets must be on leash

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY to all those Daddy’s out there! We hope your weekend is filled with tons of joy, laughter and lots of love.
I like to fill my thoughts with the good memories of my Father. I recall special times when he would cut my hair. Something he did well after I got married. While having a three legged race with a friend in school we slipped and I sprained my ankle. Dad came to school and swooped me up in his arms and took me home. He was always determined to teach me to cook. That was always fun. I now can open my fridge, dump leftovers etc in a big roast pan, toss it in the oven and feed an army! Let’s not forget him teaching me to dance. I would stand on his feet and off we would go. He was a great dancer. The biggest gift he gave me was teaching me forgiveness and for that no action or words were needed. That was my Daddy. I was also blessed for Ray who was brave enough to take a young girl into his home who certainly had a mind of her own, came in not trusting the world ahead of her. Ray was the quiet safe place in my world who was the steady force without many words guided me into the world that wasn’t as frighting as I had thought. He gave me the gift of knowing what a husband should look like. Kind, gentle, loving and so this brings me to the man I married a kind, loving and gentle man, my husband ANDY. I hope my story helps you all through the weekend and you enjoy it to the fullest. Much love to you all.

Over the last 40 years of farming we have been asked, “why not u-pick”? We don’t put u-pick unless we can’t get employees. We have met people of all walks of life and this in itself has been our reward. This year we have a mix of wonderful people aged from 11years old to near 70 years old. We are enjoying a group of SEVENTH DAY ADVENTISTS KIDS who are working hard and doing a great job! This group of kids are getting up at 6 am to be out in the field to pick strawberries before heading off to school.

The harvest is amazing again today. Come to SANDY ACRES BERRY farm to support long time farmers, the young and not so young pickers. They all have a job because of our customers! We can’t complain our young won’t work if we don’t support them.

Message for your order to be saved for you today to assure your berries are there when you arrive. We sell out daily so your berries are always fresh.
