Weekly gymkhana series, alternating between Wednesday and Thursdays so everyone has a chance to attend. You must have Horse Council to ride and waivers to be

REGISTRATION: sign in by parent is mandatory for youth and no persons under the age of 18 will be allowed to ride without parental consent and paperwork filled out by the parents prior to event 
- $20.00 Per family per night or $10.00 per person, this event
will be non profit, I am not charging arena fees etc., 100%
of all entry fees will be put back into the pot for prizes and
awards, points accumulated weekly for year end awards

profile. Every night there will be ribbons to 6th place

COLT STARTING OR ADDITIONAL TRAINING TO YOUR STARTED HORSE. What to expect:
First month, absolutely depends on your horse! I will NOT rush things, I believe in foundation training, building blocks in each maneuver which takes time, and every horse learns at a different level. Your horse will have a proper start towards a solid foundation, using building blocks to help him learn, grow and succeed confidently. He will have the basics, forward motion, give to the rein, vertically and laterally, give to the leg through repetition and clear signals, this fundamental foundation will be laid. I focus on softness, no bracing throughout your horses entire body first at a walk - lope
a) I use exercises to stretch muscles gradually, to encourage suppling / softness in the horses body, from his hind quarter through his mouth
B) I will teach your horse to bend and give without resistance both laterally and vertically
C) engage and encourage his his hind end to reach under himself and drive from his engine
D) how to step over correctly into a spin / 360
E) whoa without bracing, back up....
F) Speed control, transitions...
And so much more! I am patient and am a very strong believer in a resistance free body and mind. I believe once we have that in a horse through fare training, he will give us his entire trust, his heart and soul. LESSONS:
I have 9 sensational horses to choose from, all are very safe, well mannered horses
ABOUT ME:
I have years of experience with horses, from ranch work most of my childhood, chasing cows as a summer job, starting colts on the ranch, and starting colts for others from the time I was about 10 years old. I also, like most ranching kids, know how to trim and shoe. From gymkhana events to BCRA's and high school rodeo, (rookie of the year & top five barrel racer in BCHSRA in my youth) barrel racing, goat tying, pole bending, gymkhana, BCBRA, reining, western pleasure, trail work, horsemanship, halter. I have trained under JP Forget, Locke Duce, Randy Ophus, and many others and am continuing my training, (never stop progressing!)
I am only taking in a few at the moment as that is what my life can handle right now and I believe in quality work and a happy horse!!! Lessons $40.00 with one of mine
