Our salon was built on experience, education, and an uncompromising standard of care. With over 15 years in the industry, advanced training under some of Canada’s top groomers, and a team that is continuously learning and refining their craft, we don’t believe in cutting corners… or rushing through dogs.

We use high-end tools, premium products, and proper techniques that prioritize your pet’s safety, comfort, and long-term coat health.

There will always be “quick and cheap” options but that’s not what we do here.

🐾 Dog Training Classes Starting Soon! 🐾

Is your puppy entering their teenage phase or do you have a dog who could use some help with everyday manners? Our next round of training classes is starting soon and we’d love to have you join us!

🐶 Puppy Kindergarten (5 months - 1 year)
Perfect for puppies who are growing up fast and starting to test boundaries. We’ll focus on building strong training foundations while helping you navigate those teenage puppy moments.

🐕 Life Skills (1 year +)
This class focuses on real-world training like loose leash walking, recall, impulse control, and calm behaviour around distractions.

Today we say goodbye to Shannon who has been with Cutting Edge K9 for six years. She started with me I took over the salon and has cared cor every one of your pets with such amaing compassion. Shannon has made the drive from Markdale for all these years. I am so proud of the groomer she has grown to be and she’s off to work closer to home at Barkhouse(Keith you’re so lucky to have her, treat her well!!!)

Sometimes it means we groom on the floor.

Looking after elderly pets in the salon setting isn’t always easy. Often our seniors are confused, arthritic, and uncooperative for good reason. This can make grooming them a hazard, we are working with extremely sharp tools on moving targets and when we get the added bonus of the ailments of age it just makes it that much harder.

So sometimes it means we groom on the floor. Or we take three days in three sessions to finish a haircut. Sometimes they just get a bath. Most times it certainly doesn’t look at good and polished as it did when they were younger.

Whatever it takes to make them comfortable, nails done and mat free

Happy New Year everyone!

I have been a little less responsive as I welcomed my baby girl Jan 1st at 6:41 AM. She is currently in the NICU in Owen Sound so responses to the page will be super slow.

The salon has been down all week due to the severe weather but should be fully up and running like normal next week. Please give the girls time to get back to everyone as there have been a lot of messages!
