⏰🐾 Dear dogs, we need to talk about the time change…

The clocks went back an hour overnight, but apparently nobody informed the dogs. 😂

Your phone says 6 AM.
Your dog says BREAKFAST.
And there's absolutely no room for negotiation. 🐶

Because let's face it… dogs don't care what the clock says. Their stomachs are running on their own schedule!

😂 Who else had a furry alarm clock demanding breakfast an hour early this morning?

🎃🐾 Want a sneak peek at what we're planning for Howl'o'ween week?

Owen has been busy testing one of this year's games and we think the dogs are going to LOVE this one. 😂

TRICK 👻 or TREAT 🍬?

Our daycare dogs will get to make their choice as part of the fun during our Howl'o'ween Pawty, October 26–30!

And that's only part of it — Pawty dogs will also enjoy Halloween games, a themed KONG at naptime and head home with their own trick-or-treat bag. 🎃

$26.99 + HST, added to their regular daycare visit.

Already booked for daycare next week? Ask us to add the Howl'o'ween Pawty to your dog's visit! 🐾

Now place your bets… would your dog pick TRICK or TREAT? 😂👇

🎃🐾 The Howl’o’ween Pawty is BACK! 👻

We're getting ready for one of our favourite weeks of the year at Unleash the Pawsitive!

October 26–30, daycare dogs can upgrade their regular visit with our Howl’o’ween Pawty add-on. 🎃

They'll get to enjoy Halloween games, a themed KONG treat at naptime AND head home with their very own trick-or-treat bag. 🍬🐶

$26.99 + HST, added to their regular daycare visit.

If your dog is already booked for daycare that week, you can add the Pawty to their visit. If they're not booked yet, this is your reminder to get them on the schedule! 🐾

And now for the important question…

What is your dog dressing up as for Halloween this year? 😂👇

We can't wait to see what everyone comes up with! 🎃👻

🍂 Think tick season is over because summer is over? Think again.

Fall is still a time to stay vigilant — especially when our dogs are exploring long grass, trails, leaves and wooded areas. 🐾

One of the best habits you can get into is a quick tick check after outdoor adventures.

👀 Check around the ears & head
🐕 Feel around the neck/collar area
🦵 Check legs, armpits & belly
🐾 Don't forget between the toes
🔎 Run your hands through their coat and feel for anything unusual

A couple of extra tricks we love:

🧹 Lint roller: Run one over your dog after walking through grassy areas — it may help pick up tiny ticks that haven't attached yet.

📱 Your phone: Remember our negative-filter tick trick? Using your phone's colour settings can sometimes make tiny ticks easier to spot. (We'll be sharing that one again soon! 👀)

And prevention matters too.

We carry , a Canadian-owned, Health Canada-registered botanical repellent approved for use on dogs when used as directed. 🇨🇦🐶

You may have also spotted PureGard getting some attention on CTV News recently!

🍁 So enjoy those fall adventures — just don't put away your tick-checking routine yet.

🖤 It's their day to steal the spotlight!

Today we're celebrating National Black Dog Day and some of the gorgeous black pups who have been part of our Unleash the Pawsitive family. 🐾

Big, little, fluffy, sleek, calm, crazy — they definitely aren't lacking personality around here. 😂

And now we want to see YOURS!

📸 Drop a picture of your black dog in the comments and tell us their name + what they're best known for.

Professional napper? Treat detector? Ball addict? Chief household troublemaker? 😂👇

Let's fill the comments with black dogs today! 🖤🐶

Does your dog know the basics… but suddenly forget them when there’s something more exciting around? 😅🐶

Our next Obedience Class is all about building practical skills that work in real life — not just when everything is quiet and there are no distractions!

Over 6 weeks with Jessica, we’ll work on skills like:

🐾 Come when called
🐾 Stay
🐾 Leave it
🐾 Loose-leash walking
🐾 Focus around distractions
🐾 Better everyday manners

Whether you’re building these skills for the first time or your dog just needs a little refresher, this class will help you communicate more clearly and build more reliable behaviours together.

✨ Classes start September 30th and spots are limited!

🐾 Our leash wall was looking VERY full today… and we love to see it! 🎉💙

With everyone settling back into their routines, daycare is getting busy again!

If your pup has regular days they love spending with us, we strongly recommend booking ahead whenever possible. We hate having to tell one of our furry friends that we're full!

Wednesdays and Thursdays are especially popular and tend to book up the fastest, so if those are your preferred days, the earlier you reserve them, the better. 🗓️🐶

And don't forget — you can make their daycare day even better by adding a Sniffari for some one-on-one exploring and sniffing, or a bath so they head home tired, happy and clean. 🐾🛁

We couldn't be happier seeing all those leashes hanging up. 💙

Book ahead and save your pup's spot!

⭐ You don't have to take our word for it… our clients say it better than we ever could.

When you choose someone to care for your dog, you're trusting them with a member of your family — and we don't take that responsibility lightly.

At Unleash the Pawsitive, we've worked hard to create something different.

We're not simply a place for dogs to burn energy. Our days are built around structured play, enrichment, appropriate socialization, training knowledge and understanding the individual dog in front of us.

Our team gets to know your dog's personality, their play style, their friendships, their quirks, when they're having a great day — and when they might need a little something different.

Because good dog care isn't just about sending home a tired dog.

It's about sending home a dog whose physical, mental and social needs have been met. 🐾

That's the standard we've built Unleash the Pawsitive around, and these reviews mean the world to us because they tell us our clients see that difference too. 💙

Thank you to every family who continues to trust us, recommend us and share their experiences.

And if you're looking for daycare or training for your dog in Saugeen Shores…

Come experience the Unleash the Pawsitive difference. 🐶💙

To the boy who stole our hearts (and messed up our inventory): thank you for 15.5 perfect years. Oaklee, you were the best boss this daycare ever had.

08/25/2026

Yesterday we said goodbye to our Oaklee, Oaks, Oakalee-smokalee, and the whole reason Unleash the Pawsitive is here.
From his incessant barking as soon as we arrived in the morning for his Kong, to barking as soon as customers would come through the door so they would go say hi, to dropping his ball over the baby gate and having so many people toss it back to him (boy he had us trained well)
I’m gonna miss him laying under my desk and all the time I almost (or did 🙈) roll over part of his fur because he was always in the worst spot.
I know he’s having all the fun up at the Rainbow Bridge with all our buddies we’ve lost through the years 🌈
Gosh, they know how to break our hearts 💔
