My kittens are well socialized with other cats and learn at a young age how to interact and manage others that are not their mom or siblings. This is important as it is communicated in a language they understand, preparing them for future changes. The changes that cannot be communicated to them through their language when they move onto their forever home. They will be able to take these skills of observation and interaction with new cats and apply it to their new homes. Yes at first they have to figure out, have they been taken by someone wanting to harm them or a friend. Just like they did when meeting cats from down the hall they had to figure out if could play with them or avoid them. Once they learn you are a friend you got a buddy that is always interested in what you are up to and happy to snuggle up and send healing purr vibrations to you.
