Tango had a nice 2 weeks with her uncle Justin during her dads vacation she gone back home now but what a sweet and curious girl she’s 21 years old!

Enjoyed pet sitting her ❤️❤️❤️

Hey folks we are looking for a few tanks for the rescue particularly 36x12x18 terrariums with either sliding doors or exo terras that open 2-3 if possible does anyone have any collecting dust they’re willing to sell

BREAKING NEWS!!!!

Tornado has hit parts of Orleans/Ottawa area please if you were not affected but are in an area that was affected or helping with cleanup check on wildlife near trees. Often squirrels will get disoriented during storm conditions like tornados, lighting strikes and with fireworks.

This means babies may be left behind or parents killed due to the tornado. If you find an animal in distress contact the Rideau valley wildlife sanctuary and the humane society (humane society can be a drop off spot for wildlife and will go to the appropriate rehabilitation centre)

Here at freshwater aquariums rescue we care about ALL animals big and small slimy or soft. This lil guy was found in a neighbours basement mid winter super cute lil field mouse. Although the rescue does have snakes and feeds them mice and rats (frozen never live) we still love these lil fellas he will be getting released later today following our first ever live video (if I can make it work)

Are you interested in volunteering at the rescue? We are actively seeking volunteers for various tasks from feeding, water changes, photo shoots for adoptable animals, helping with advertising and general labour around the rescue! Always something needs to be done!

I have created an invite only Facebook group to better organize volunteers and will be able to add notes on who’s comfortable with doing what. If this is something that interests you please comment and we’ll chat.

Pet sitting some young gerbils there cage was a mess they seem quite happy after a cage cleaning and fresh food :)
