Georgian College Animal Adoptions Georgian College Adoption Club will use this page to showcase our furry friends for adoption The pets are well loved by students and staff, and handled often.

The Georgian College Veterinary Assistant and Veterinary Technician programs use this page to showcase the furry friends who are available for adoption. Students gain valuable hands-on experience working with animals in the veterinary clinic at the Orillia Campus. Some of the animals are owned by partner shelters, and others are owned by Georgian College Veterinary Hospital. The costs of adoption

vary depending on the source of the animals, ranging from $50 to $585 and may include spay/neuter/microchip. If you are interested in one particular animal, please inquire at [email protected]

“Good morning everyone, I juat wanted to give you an update on Munchie aka Arlo. Today marks a great achievement for us and Munchie. For the first time since I have brought him home, I fed him this morning and he did not go running ro his bowl and empty it. He took some bites and walked away. This is huge because I never want him to feel hunger ever again and today proves that he no longer waits for that dish to go down. He is doing amazing, he has filled out and we have many, many dead carcasses of toys around our house that they play tug of war with. He gets along so well with his sister Lucy, I could not have asked for a better match. I am attaching some pics for you. Thank you for giving us a chance to provide Munchie his best life!!”

It's Tuesday! We received such a heartwarming update from Charlie (formerly Reese) that we just had to share.

"Just wanted to let you know that Charlie aka Reese is doing really well. He is much more confident of his surroundings and is used to all the noises that occur in a household. He is peeing and pooping outside with the odd accident still but SO much better than it was.

He is a really happy dog and loves people and attention. We are so pleased with his progress. "

Charlie is the perfect example of a rescue pet that needed some extra time to feel safe in his new home. He definitely found the perfect home for him! You look so happy Charlie!!

Another update from Munchkin (formerly Arlo)!

"He is doing great, last week was tough for him, not knowing us or my other dog. But today we had no accidents in the house, and he understands when I say out, he goes to the door. He has his spots for his pees and poops. I am hopeful that he will continue to slow down when eating, as of now, he is a bit slower when eating but that could be because he is underweight and from before when was probably starving. That being said, I wanted to share a pic that I got tonight. I think he is happy."
