🐾 Saying “see you later” is never easy… especially when it’s to someone like Asia. 💙

This week, we celebrated Asia’s last week with us before she heads back to vet school to begin her second year of vet school at and while we’re so proud of her, we’ll definitely miss having her around the clinic. 💔

Always eager to learn, quick to lend a hand, and full of compassion, Asia brought so much warmth and energy to the Central Vet team. Whether it was assisting with patients or cuddling adorable pups like 11-week-old Charlie the Boxer 🐶, her dedication and kindness never went unnoticed.

We can’t wait to see the incredible veterinarian you’re becoming, Asia. Thank you for everything. 💛✨

Doesn’t every Doctor need a sidekick? 🐾🐶

Meet Daisy, a miniature dachshund who loved hanging out in her cozy carry bag while in for her spay procedure with Dr. Bjornson. 🏥 We’ll do whatever it takes to make sure our patients feel safe, calm, and maybe even a little spoiled. Because a great patient experience means treating them like the beloved family they are, purse rides included. 💛👜

🐾 Wrapping up Veterinary Assistant Week with two more amazing team members who help make Central Vet amazing 🐾

💜 Majenta brings kindness, dedication, and a love for animals into every patient interaction. When she’s not in the clinic, you’ll find her snowmobiling or horseback riding 🐎 through nature.

💜 Tasha I. brings strength, compassion, and a calm presence to even the busiest days. Outside of work, she’s happiest at the lake 🌊 with her family, fixing up vehicles, running, or riding horses.

These two incredible women are the heart behind so much of what we do, and with them, we wrap up our week of gratitude for the veterinary assistants who hold everything together with care and heart. 🥹

Thank you, Majenta and Tasha, and thank you to all our assistants, we see you, we appreciate you, and we couldn’t do this without you. 💕

🌟 Veterinary Assistant Appreciation Week 🌟

Today we’re celebrating two more of the kind-hearted, dedicated people who help keep our clinic running with care and compassion — Makayla and Kim! 💚🐾

🐶 Makayla brings a spirit of adventure and warmth wherever she goes. When she’s not caring for patients, she’s out exploring with her dog or spending quality time with family at their cabin in Flin Flon.

🌼 Kim has a gentle, nurturing presence that our team and patients truly appreciate. Outside of work, she finds joy in crocheting, gardening, and simply soaking up the outdoors.

We’re so lucky to have both of these wonderful women on our team. Thank you, Makayla and Kim, for all the heart you bring to your work every single day. 💕

🌟 Veterinary Assistant Appreciation Week 🌟

This week, we’re honoring the incredible hearts and hands behind the scenes, our Hospital Assistants and Veterinary Technologist Assistants. Their job is demanding, emotional, and often goes unrecognized, but they show up every single day with compassion, strength, and unwavering dedication to every patient they care for. 💛

Today, we’re shining a light on three amazing team members:

Kate is calm, grounded, and ready for any adventure. 🌲 When she’s not supporting patients and calming nervous pets, you’ll find her camping under the stars or canoeing across a peaceful lake.

Megan has a heart as warm as her kitchen. 🍪 She finds joy in cooking and baking, and when she’s not here helping our furry patients, she’s spending cherished time at the cottage with her family and friends.

Emma keeps moving forward 🏃‍♀️ literally and figuratively. Her energy and drive help power our clinic every day. Outside of vet med, she’s either walking her dog or breaking a sweat at the gym.

Thank you, Kate, Megan, and Emma, for the love, resilience, and passion you bring. We see you. We appreciate you. And this week and every week, we celebrate you. 💖🐾

Before & After: The realest pet parent post you’ll see today. 🦷

I’m a vet tech. Yes, I know how important dental care is. And yes... I still let my own dog’s teeth get a little too bad before bringing him in for his dental. 😅

Life gets busy, and sometimes even in the vet world we fall behind. But, this is your reminder (and mine) that dental health is health. Those stinky kisses? Not normal. That tartar buildup? It’s bacteria and it can lead to serious issues like gum disease, tooth loss, and even impact heart and kidney health.

You don’t need to wait until their breath is knock-you-out bad. Regular brushing, dental chews, and yearly cleanings can make a huge difference.

So if it’s been a while since your pet’s last dental check this is your gentle nudge. No judgment, just real talk from a fellow pet parent who’s been there ❤️🐶
