⚡ Meet Nala ⚡

If energy could be bottled, it would probably look a lot like Nala.

This happy girl has turned parkour into a personal hobby. She can jump impressively high and is always looking for her next adventure. Thankfully, despite her athletic talents, she's never escaped her kennel or yard—she just enjoys showing off her skills and keeping life interesting.

Nala is a tail-wagging whirlwind who loves to run, play, and stay busy. She’s dog friendly and has a best friend here at the shelter named Ember. Together, they spend their days running, wrestling, and "chatting" back and forth to the other dogs around them. In fact, Nala has even taken it upon herself to teach Ember the fine art of parkour.

For all her energy, Nala has a surprisingly cuddly side. She's more than happy to curl up on your feet or drape herself across your legs while soaking up belly rubs. Actually, she loves belly rubs so much that she'll sometimes dramatically flop down right in front of you while you're walking, hoping you'll stop everything and give her the attention she deserves.

Nala is the perfect combination of adventure buddy and cuddle bug. She loves to be active, loves her people, and approaches every day with enthusiasm and a wagging tail.

If you're looking for a dog who can keep up with your adventures, make you laugh, and still demand belly rubs at the end of the day, Nala might just be your perfect match. 🐾💕

💙 Meet Rosco 💙

Rosco is a happy-go-lucky pittie mix with a heart of gold and a temperament to match. He’s the kind of dog who wakes up every day excited to see what adventures, snacks, and new friends the world has in store.

His love for people is impossible to miss. When Rosco was found, a group of children had decided he needed a makeover. Armed with makeup and markers, they spent their time decorating him and making him "pretty." Rosco didn't mind one bit — in fact, he loved every second of the attention. If someone is willing to pet him, hug him, or make him the center of their world, Rosco is all in.

He's dog friendly and happy to match the energy of those around him. Whether it's roughhousing with canine friends, going for a run, or relaxing beside his people after a day of fun, Rosco is just happy to be included.

Rosco isn't a picky eater, usually keeps his kennel clean, and takes life's ups and downs in stride. He happily accepts affection in all forms, though every now and then he'll shoot you the most dramatic side-eye you've ever seen — usually for reasons known only to him.

And then there's the tail. Rosco's tail wags with such enthusiasm that we're convinced it should be classified as a weapon. One happy greeting from him and you'll understand exactly what we mean.

At the end of the day, Rosco is a simple guy. He loves people, enjoys other dogs, and finds joy in just about everything life throws his way. Whether you're looking for a running buddy, a playmate, or a couch companion, Rosco is ready to fill the role.

🐾 Double Trouble, at Half Speed 🐾

Some dogs come with a lot of energy. Lucky and Spike come with a lot of wisdom... and a strong appreciation for treats.

These two senior gentlemen are believed to be brothers, and while they may be entering their retirement years, they still have plenty of personality left to share.

Lucky is the self-appointed explorer of the pair. He enjoys walks and is usually happy to follow along—until he remembers he has his own opinions. Then it becomes more of a negotiation. He's a little pushy at times, confident in his life experience, and seems to operate under the belief that he knows exactly where everyone should be going.

Spike, meanwhile, is the cautious supervisor. He likes to keep track of his humans at all times and will frequently check in to make sure you're not doing anything suspicious... like walking into another room without him. He can be a bit nervous at first, but underneath that worried expression is a very sweet boy who just wants to know everything is okay.

Both boys are non-reactive to other dogs through the kennels, making them excellent neighbours. They're polite, well-mannered, and prefer to save their energy for the things that really matter—such as snacks.

In fact, if treats were a currency, these two would be very interested in discussing your investment portfolio.

Lucky and Spike are looking for a home where they can enjoy the finer things in life: leisurely strolls, comfy beds, tasty treats, and people who appreciate senior dogs for the treasures they are.
