"Mooi Natural Essentials started about 12 years ago because natural sunscreens were so expensive, so I started making my own for my 3 kids, as well as bug repellant for my horses. Soon after, I started selling the sunscreen to other natural skin care companies. My aunt then came on board to make deodorants and lip balms, while I started researching skin care ingredients because I was suffering from middle-age acne. Together, we created and evolved our products to a spa-grade standard. When we knew our products were of a high professional quality, we introduced them to local stores and then grew from there to sell across Canada. We continue to research and learn about all the up and coming ingredients as they come onto the market."
