BC SPCA Nanaimo The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting vulnerable animals and mobilizing communities so animals and people thrive together.

A handsome Husky with a playful spirit and a heart that’s ready to find his forever person! This goofy boy loves to have fun and is always happiest when he has room to run, play, and enjoy life with the people he loves.

Koda is searching for a husky-savvy, adult-only home where he can continue learning and growing. He’s making progress with his basic manners and will need continued positive reinforcement training. With patience, consistency, and plenty of praise, Koda is sure to continue blossoming into an amazing companion.

A home with a securely fenced yard would be the perfect fit, giving Koda the chance to stretch his legs, burn off his energy, and show off his fun-loving personality. Once he’s had his playtime, he’s happy to settle in and spend quality time with his family.

Koda is looking to be the only pet in the home, allowing him to soak up all the love and attention he deserves. He’s looking for a family who understands the Husky breed and is excited to provide him with the exercise, enrichment, and companionship he needs to thrive.

Meet Kippy! This energetic, fun-loving guy is ready to be the star of your show! Kippy prefers to be your one-and-only feline (because apparently, cats are friends? No. 😹). But dogs are friends? Yes! 🐶 He’s previously lived with a dog and may do well with a cat-savvy canine.

Kippy is indoor-only and loves playtime, attention, and being thoroughly spoiled. He also has cystic kidney disease; he is currently healthy and stable and will just need bi-annual vet check-ups to keep an eye on things. He promises to make his life with you, worth every minute!

Kippy is currently enjoying life in a foster home, but is more than ready to turn to the next chapter in his story and live his happily ever after 🥰

Happy Friday! We wanted to head into the weekend by sharing the adorable story of Finn, one of our centre animals, who found his forever home with one of our summer campers, Eliza. The connections made at the centre last well beyond camp, and sometimes they even lead to a lifelong friendship with two or four-legged friends! ❤️🐾
