Staff Appreciation Days — Raea ❤️

Today’s staff appreciation shoutout goes to Raea! 🐾

Raea has been part of the Pet Zones crew since early 2022, and she has been an absolute superstar from day one!

Currently in Grade 12 and an Honour Roll student, Raea somehow balances school with rugby, track and competitive softball. She’s also a total outdoorsy girl who loves her cows and everything that comes with country life. 🐄

But what really stands out about Raea is how fearless she is. She has a natural way with dogs and is especially amazing with some of our most anxious pups. She’s the one who will sit down, earn their trust and somehow have them cuddled up with her before you know it. 🐶

She brings so much love, patience and an incredible work ethic to everything she does.

We’re so lucky to have Raea on our team and to have watched her grow with us over the years.❤️

Staff Appreciation Days — Desarae ❤️

Today’s staff appreciation shoutout goes to Desarae! 🐾

Desarae has been part of the Pet Zones crew since 2025 and has brought a ton of experience, personality and laughs to the team!

If you know Des, you know she is absolutely hilarious. She has the best stories, and somehow her storytelling makes even the simplest story 10x funnier. 😂 You can always count on her to keep everyone laughing!

When she’s not at Pet Zones, you can usually find her hanging with the heifers or on a ball diamond. She’s been in rescue mode since she was little — saving, feeding, transporting and caring for injured or stray animals.

Her passion for dogs and dog psychology goes way beyond a hobby, and she hopes to pursue that passion even further. She loves all breeds but has a definite soft spot for shepherds! 🐕‍🦺

And of course, she’s a proud mom to two wonderful girls. ❤️

Desarae, we’re lucky to have you on the team — thanks for all the laughs, hard work and everything you bring to Pet Zones! 🐾

Staff Appreciation Days — Joanna ❤️

Joanna has been part of the Pet Zones crew since 2022, and there’s definitely no shortage of things to say about her!

She’s a grandma to two of the cutest babies, a certified and experienced dog trainer specializing in behaviour modification, and the owner of All in 1 Dog Training. She offers obedience and agility classes, one-on-one private sessions, board & trains, and more. It’s safe to say dogs are a pretty big part of her life! 🐕

Outside of work, Joanna competes in multiple dog sports with her two German Shepherds and is a regular CrossFit enthusiast.

She’s a hard worker, always on the go, and an all-around rock star — and we’re lucky to have her on our team!

Staff Appreciation Days— Angelica ❤️

Today we’re giving a shoutout to Angelica, who has been part of the Pet Zones team since 2022!

Outside of work, Angelica is always on the go. She’s competed in HYROX, completed a half marathon, and took 1st place with her team in a CrossFit competition. And somehow, she still finds time for tumbling and Muay Thai every Thursday!

Fitness is a huge part of her life, and she’s currently studying Police Foundations at Seneca College, with hopes of one day having a career in the K-9 unit. 🐕‍🦺

Thank you for all your hard work, dedication, and the energy you bring to Pet Zones! ❤️🐾
