Meet “Riser”. Our older gentleman who had a successful career as a barrel racer and has now joined us for a slower life. I tried him out in some English tack which may be his first time and he was such a good boy! I might add he looks pretty handsome in it!

Rocky “The X Factor” sale video from 2016. His first and only class/show with us until purchasing him back nine years later!

Also sassy his mom “cockleburrs Lady X”, our first hackney pony bought from Tom Oxley. She was lassoed and blindfolded to get her on the horse trailer as a wild two year old. She was my Christmas present in 2002!

She won the amateur road pony and road pony stake at the royal winter fair that year at 17 years old… Her retiring show. I did their shoeing myself which I learned from duck and Danny Trudeau! I trained them and hooked Rocky to a cart myself for his first time about six weeks prior to this show and sassy was pulled out of a field after having been retired for four years and having a baby (Rocky) six weeks prior to the show.

Introducing Tempelton (I’m sure anyone who actually knows me knows Tempelton as he is a little bit famous for teaching a million kids to ride.. ok not a million but you get what I mean!)
My mom and I bought him at galetta sale barn when I was 8 and he was supposedly 9. He was my first pony. He was a bit of a handful, but clearly earned his stay/retirement as I have now had him 27 years! I would drive him into town to pick up my friends in public school/elementary school. He drove in parades (I also used to hook him to a cart in the winter and ski behind
Him), competed in barrel racing (even beat some horses he was fast!), I also dabbled in trick riding on him, jumped 3 feet, won numerous saddle and parade pony classes, and was also used to teach riding lessons at my own farm as well as the McWilliams farm where he did a riding camp or two. He did it all! Anyone could get on him. I always dreamt of my daughter riding him one day and lucky me , he has stuck around long enough to not only meet her, but also become her first pony too. I love him so much!

Would you guys guess that he’s at least 36 years young?!
