🌾 Farm Help Wanted – Summer Position 🌾
Rocky Reign Acres is looking for a reliable, hardworking, and enthusiastic person to help on our family farm this summer.
This position is not limited to students. I am looking for someone who enjoys animals, likes being outdoors, and is eager to learn.
I am hoping to find help for approximately 3 hours per day, 2–3 mornings per week and/or the occasional weekend. The schedule is somewhat flexible and can be adjusted within reason for the right person.
Duties may include:
• Feeding and watering animals
• Cleaning stalls and pens
• General farm maintenance and farm chores
• Assisting with horses, chickens, puppies, and other animals
• Property clean-up and seasonal projects
• Training assistance (if experience is there)
Horse experience is an asset but is not required. I am happy to teach someone with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
🐴 For the right person, I am willing to offer saddle time in exchange for farm help. We have both a sand riding ring and sand round pen available for training and riding. (I do not currently have a beginner friendly horse only intermediate)
Rocky Reign Acres is home to:
• A CKC Golden Retriever breeding program
• A show-quality poultry breeding program
• Hackney ponies (my primary focus)
• Standardbred and saddlebred
I have experience in several equestrian disciplines and would love to find someone eager to learn about horse care, training, breeding programs, and farm management while gaining hands-on experience.
This is a great opportunity for an animal lover who wants to spend time around horses and other animals while learning new skills.
📍 Located near Merrickville, Ontario
I am hoping to find someone to help throughout the summer months, with the possibility of continuing longer-term for the right person.
