Our Philosophy

Shake A Leg Petcare is all about safety, honesty, and fun! The safety of your pet is always our prime concern, no matter what the situation. For this reason, we do not take dogs off-leash, unless in an off-leash designated park, and with permission from the owners. We are always attentive to your dog's behaviour and health, and will immediately let you know if something doesn't seem right. We may find that a service we are providing isn't the right fit for your pet. If this occurs, we will inform you right away and work with you to find a solution that better suits your needs. Last but not least, we want your pets to have fun with us! We walk, feed, play fetch, cuddle -- whatever your pet needs to be happy. We can never take your place in your pet's eyes, but we can help them have fun when you can't be there. (read less)

DAYCARE PUPS!! I've been so busy trying to post as many of the boarding dogs as I can, I haven't had a chance to post the daily daycare shenanigans lately! So get ready for alot of photos lol! This round of photos includes appearances by: Nimkii, Mika, Duke, Harley, Copper, Kismet, Teddy, and a little Ozzie and Maisie! More to come!! ❤️ It's been so fun watching all the daycare dogs play each day and getting to start pairing and grouping dogs up more for play sessions as we welcome new dogs into the daycare gang. We have a few new daycare dogs coming into the mix soon, and hope to welcome more as we start into Autumn!

Sweetie was here for another vacation recently and she got lots of cuddles from us while she was here - it's her favourite thing lol! She IS a sweetie and loved hanging outside and playing with her bone, but as I told her parents, she also was very unimpressed when we did anything in the kennel area that didn't involve her, so she definitely showed off her lovely hound singing abilities here and there 😂 the dogs definitely like to keep things interesting for us lol!

Little Max was here recently for a few weeks vacation and he had a blast as usual! Whenever it's available, Max prefers staying at the house so that he can have a luxury vacation and he definitely fit in lots of lounging in between play sessions! Max also looooves playing with all the squeaky toys and has a hard time choosing just one toy to play with sometimes. He's such a little character and always keep me entertained when he's here! ❤️

Adorable Bear was here for his first ever overnight stay at a boarding facility and he did so well! And how cute is he?! I can't get over his hair, its the best! While he did make it know that he wasn't impressed when we were doing things in the kennel that didn't involve him lol, he was a superstar otherwise! He had lots of fun exploring outside and getting lots of cuddles. I did some lounge cuddle sessions with him as well in the evenings just to make him feel a little more at home ❤️

Scarlett, Luna, and little Bear all came for some sleepover shenanigans recently and little Bear (the copper colored pup) spent her time trying to bring Scarlett and Luna out of their shells lol! She definitely was turning on the charm to make some friends, it was so cute ❤️ Hopefully we'll see them all again soon!

Logan and Penny were here recently for their first overnight and LOVED playing with the toys. Penny was a little nervous at first, but she settled in over a few days. And Logan is obviously an old pro with boarding, he's such a happy guy! Our throwing arms definitely got a workout in while they were here, and they had some fun pool parties too! Look forward to seeing them again in the future!

The look they give you when you stop petting them without permission 😂

Demon was here for another vacation recently and he definitely does not live up to his name! He is the biggest softie and loves to cuddle as much as possible. But if you get him too excited he WILL squash you like a pancake (unintentionally lol!). Love this guy! He's always so funny to hang out with ❤️

Ziggy came for his first overnight recently and was such a perfect boy! He's so gorgeous too, but with the saddest face lol! Despite his eyebrows that make him look constantly concerned, he had a great time playing outside and bouncing around. We're looking forward to hopefully seeing more of him and introducing him to some new doggie friends! ❤️

We welcomed Tucker to the gang for his first overnight recently and he was such a good boy! He's the happiest dog ever and loved playing outside with all the toys - he even tried carrying 2 toys at once a few times lol! He did great lounging in his kennel as well and learning to use the doggie door was a piece of cake! Looking forward to seeing him again soon hopefully!
