There are some really beautiful trails across York Region, but none that are intended for off-leash exploration.

We want to know: Do you want an off-leash dog trail in Markham or York Region?

(There are a few in Toronto, and they are quite popular.)

Do you want us to do more charity walks through the year next year in York Region? Giving our community a chance to do a community walk while consistently giving back? 🥰

Do you recommend us joining any specific charity walks in 2027? Tag them or add their websites in the comments! 😎

Happy Halloween & Halloween Howl MDA Dog Pack! 💜👻

These two pumpkins may be too scared to see who’s hiding under the purple monster costume! The mystery may never be solved with Brother & Sister: LEGON & LINDA at the helm! 🔎😮‍💨🤭

Throwback to working with Laura from Drop The Leash Dog Training and her super talented assistant Rosie 🕊️.

Does anyone remember us doing Yelp Toronto + Greater Toronto Area events like this one at Pawstory on Main Street Unionville?

Do you want Yelp x MDA events to make a comeback? They were small parties for pupfluencers and influencers to try local small businesses and it included samples of the drinks/food.

💜🎉 Congratulations to our re-elected Mayor & Councillors!

Markham Dog Alliance is still a small local business, but when we first started we were the SMALLEST business. We had less than 100 following us across our socials - and leaders across Markham still came out to our events to show support and love for us!

Some of this elected officials were re-elected this week and we’re still proud to call them supporters and friends of Markham Dog Alliance.

We’re proud they have a vision for Markham that includes more dog-friendly spaces and dog parks - places that help foster community.

👇 • Help us celebrate them and let us know what improvements you want to see in Markham (an off-leash dog-friendly trail anyone?! 😍)

Congratulations to on re-elections to:
✨ • Frank Scarpitti
✨ • Amanda Yeung Collucci (now regional councillor)
✨ • Karen Rea
✨ • Isa Lee
✨ • Re-Elect Nimisha Patel for Ward 7 Councillor Markham
