Saugeen Shores Police took a report of a stolen dog earlier today. Information was that the dog had gone missing at the end of 2023 and was observed being walked by someone on today’s date in Southampton.

We are happy to say Oreo was located and returned to their human ❤️

This reunion was made much easier as Oreo was microchipped.

We encourage all pet owners to consider microchipping their pets incase of theft or wandering. Make sure that when you get your animal microchipped that you ensure it is activated and your details are entered into the system (Collars and name tags can be removed and switched in order to hide an animals real identity).

If you find a dog/cat wandering please contact animal control and take all necessary steps to locate its owners.
