Welcome to Canada Chloe! 💜

We brought this sweetheart home from Texas. She did amazing at the airport and on the plane for her very first time ever. She is starting to settle into her new home and we will try to share updates as we go. We still have a lot to learn and tonnes of training in her future but you'll be sure to see us out and about as she continues to progress.
Dominic has fallen in love and we cannot wait to see their bond grow.

THANK YOU again - to our family, friends, coworkers and community for helping make this possible. We waited for this special friend to join our family and despite a slight change in our plans to travel to get her in February, we are so grateful she is here with us now 💜

Please continue to follow along on our new adventure!

We have an exciting update...

Dominic is pleased to introduce, Chloe 💜 his service dog in-training! She is 7-months-old and she is working hard to learn her service dog tasks. We cannot wait to meet her in a few months and bring her home!

We have already fallen in love with her sweet face and we cannot wait to share her with everyone who has helped support us along this journey. Without the support of our family, friends and community we wouldn't be celebrating this moment - thank you 💜

This 💔

We are often asked "how is Dominic doing" and it is a hard question to answer sometimes. His seizures vary day to day but he has them everyday and the majority are at night. He has more than one type of seizure which includes tonic-clonic (aka grand mal/convulsive) and they happen at night which is why he is at greater risk for SUDEP.

We share this to help spread awareness because many individuals with epilepsy are not told the risks or even told about SUDEP.

We do all we can at night to try to protect Dominic but technology isn't perfect and this is the main reason we decided to get Dominic a service dog. We are just waiting for the call for him to meet his new furry best friend 💜🐶 💔

The greatest risk factor for SUDEP is having tonic clonic seizures.

People with night time seizures may also be at higher risk.

Missing medications or not taking seizure medicines as prescribed, because it can lead to more seizures, may also put people at higher risk for SUDEP.

Just some cute puppies in training to brighten this rainy day ❤️

Hope everyone's return to school this week has gone well! Dominic's week hasn't gone quite as planned and he's been dealing with increased seizures but he is excited to announce...

WE REACHED OUR SERVICE DOG GOAL! 🎉

We have worked so hard these past 9 months and we are so grateful to our family, friends, coworkers, local businesses, groups and our community for helping make this possible. We want to send a huge THANK YOU to everyone for supporting us ❤️

Many have asked us when Dominic will get his dog and the answer is, we don't know yet but we are hopeful it will be within the next year. We are currently in the "waiting period" so we are eagerly waiting for the call 💜

We will share any news as soon as we know more and we can't wait to share Dominic's journey with his new furry best friend 💙

(Please share this if you can so we can spread this exciting update)
