Meet Harold, with a heart that is somehow even bigger than his growing paws. This sweet boy came into care a little underweight, but he is already thriving and filling out with regular meals and lots of love. Despite his rough start, Harold has held onto the gentlest, most trusting nature, and he is quickly proving that he is equal parts resilient and ridiculously cuddly.
Harold is the kind of puppy who wants to be close to his person whenever possible. If you are sitting down, he believes your lap is his rightful spot and he will make his case very convincingly. He sleeps through the night in his crate, especially if it is nearby. He doesn’t love being left alone, and he may protest at first, but with patience and consistency he is learning that he is safe and secure (and is being very brave about it in the meantime).
In the home, Harold is doing great with house training as long as he gets regular chances to go outside and a few well earned treats for his efforts. He has good leash manners already and enjoys getting out to explore the world at a comfortable pace.
Harold currently lives with another dog and does well, happily taking cues and respecting boundaries. While they mostly coexist, it is clear Harold would love a playful companion to help him burn off some puppy energy and share in his growing confidence. His absolute favorite pastime is collecting every stuffed toy he can find and proudly relocating them to his bed like tiny treasures. Size does not matter. If it is soft, it is his.
With a medium energy level, Harold is a great balance of playful and relaxed. He enjoys bursts of fun followed by long stretches of lounging and cuddling. He would do well in a variety of homes, including one without a fenced yard, as long as his family is active and committed to giving him safe opportunities to explore.
If you can’t find Harold, don’t worry too much. He’s probably claimed a warm little patch of sunlight somewhere in the house, happily snoozing like it’s his full-time job.
The best thing about Harold is simple. He loves deeply and completely. He wants to be near you, curled up, content, and part of your world. If you are looking for a loyal little shadow who will grow into your best friend, Harold is ready to claim that role immediately.
Harold has been vaccinated, dewormed, micro-chipped and is on parasite preventative. His adoption fee is $600 with a $200 rebate after proof of my neuter (within contracted timeframe).
