Meet Mochi 🐾
Mochi is a quiet, sensitive young cat who came from a large outdoor colony and is just beginning to learn that people can be kind. She isn’t a lap cat (yet!), but she’s making brave little steps—sniffing hands, playing gently, and starting to feel safe.

She’s looking for a calm, patient home where she can move at her own pace and continue to blossom. For the right person, earning Mochi’s trust will be incredibly special.

These cats come from a long-standing outdoor colony in a rural township, where hundreds of free-roaming feral cats faced years of unchecked reproduction and limited access to veterinary care. That began to change this year through collaboration, as our shelter partnered with the local township and AWS partners to launch a program designed to create lasting, community-wide impact.

Pikachu is a 10-year-old senior gentleman who is ready to spend his golden years soaking up love in a calm, cozy home. This sweet boy greets you right at the door and never hesitates to ask for affection-he’ll happily wander over, rub against your legs, or sit beside you just to be close. Pikachu is incredibly affectionate, full of purrs, and loves being brushed, especially gentle strokes on the top of his head, once he gets to know you. Volunteers consistently describe him as a total sweetheart who wants pets the entire visit and gives plenty of love in return.

Hi, I’m Chico! I’m an 8-month-old male guinea pig who’s still learning that the world can be a pretty great place. I enjoy exploring my play pen and getting tasty treats (kale is my absolute favorite!). I can be a little shy when you first approach me, but with patience and gentle handling, I continue to grow more comfortable and confident each day.

I’m tolerable of being held and I do best with someone who understands guinea pig body language and is willing to let me move at my own pace. I don’t have a bite history, though I may give a small nip if I’m startled or unsure. I’m not litter trained yet and I may chew wires, so having a guinea-pig-proofed space will help keep me safe and happy.

I previously lived in an indoor/outdoor enclosure with adults and active children and was the only animal in the home. I would love a safe indoor setup with lots of enrichment, unlimited hay, and daily interaction. I may also enjoy having a compatible guinea pig friend after proper introductions.
