Meet Hazel 🐾

Last winter, our peace officers responded to a rural property in Alberta where they found eight large-breed puppies living in heartbreaking conditions. Among them was Hazel.

Confined to a small, unsanitary room with no outdoor access, Hazel was frightened and clearly neglected when officers arrived. She was removed, received immediate veterinary care, and was placed with a caregiver to recover. Just two weeks later, she was running, playing, and asking for belly rubs.

Her story is a reminder of the resilience animals can have when given a chance to heal.
