Welcome Marlee the 7-month old German Shepherd to our Board & Train Program!

Marlee is already a really good girl, her family loves her dearly and is looking to take her training to the next level with polished obedience, reliable off-leash skills, and the ability to confidently include her in all of life's adventures.

With four kids at home, having a well-mannered dog that can listen around distractions, settle when needed, and be a reliable family companion is incredibly important. Over the next few weeks, we'll be fine-tuning her obedience, building engagement, and creating the consistency needed for real-world success.

We're excited to help Marlee become the best version of herself and give her family the freedom to enjoy all the fun things that come with a well-trained dog.

Stay tuned to follow her journey!

Welcome Freddy to our Board & Train Program!

Freddy is a recently adopted terrier mix who has a lot of heart, a lot of drive, and a lot to learn

This little guy came to us struggling with some significant behavioral challenges. He's an extreme leash puller, has intense dog reactivity, and becomes so frustrated when he can't access what he wants that he'll sometimes redirect that frustration onto the nearest person. That same tendency to redirect can show up around the house as well when emotions run high.

Freddy also hasn't quite mastered the art of relaxing. He's a busy, go-go-go kind of dog who struggles with an off switch and is always looking for the next exciting thing. While he's very food motivated, the outside world quickly becomes more rewarding than any treat, making focus and engagement a challenge.

Over the next few weeks we'll be working on building his focus around distractions, teaching clear communication and boundaries, improving his leash manners, developing neutrality around other dogs, and addressing his redirecting behaviors. Just as importantly, we'll be helping Freddy learn that not every moment needs to be full speed ahead.

We're excited to help this guy gain the skills he needs to be successful and can't wait to show you his progress along the way. Stay tuned for Freddy's journey!

Tiny dogs, big results 👏🐾

Louis and Lola came to us struggling with dog reactivity, human reactivity, pulling on leash, and without a reliable sit or down stay.

Fast forward to now: walking through a busy park surrounded by dogs, people, geese, distractions everywhere, and they handled it beautifully!!

Now they’re heading home with:
✔️ Calm, neutral behaviour around people & dogs
✔️ Confidence and comfort in public
✔️ Solid sit & down stays
✔️ Loose leash walking
✔️ Better engagement with their handler

And can we talk about how HAPPY they look doing it? Training is about creating clarity, communication, and confidence 🥰

Also, a reminder: small dogs can do it too. Size doesn’t determine capability. Tiny dogs deserve training, structure, and the chance to confidently take on the world just like the big dogs 💗

So proud of these two and excited for their next chapter at home 🌟

Just a little reminder of why we love what we do 💗

Sometimes we get so busy in the day-to-day that we forget to stop and appreciate how lucky we are to do what we love. Watching these clips back reminded us just how many incredible dogs and amazing families have been part of this journey.

We’re so grateful for every pup trusted in our hands - whether its boarding, training, puppy raising, to trained working dogs. This isn't just our business, it’s truly our passion.

Can you spot your pup in any of these clips? 👀

W***y has officially completed his crate training program!

When W***y first came to us, the goal was to help him feel confident, calm, and secure in his crate, and he absolutely delivered. He now sleeps happily and quietly in his crate overnight, settles in just as nicely during the day, and can even relax in there while people are home. That level of comfort doesn’t happen by accident, W***y put in the work, and it shows!

He’s had zero destructive behaviors in the kennel and has really learned to enjoy his downtime. With his Benebones to chew on and the occasional bully stick a couple times a week, his crate has become a place he genuinely looks forward to. He’s also had so much fun learning and playing crate games, which helped build that positive association every step of the way.

W***y now eats all of his meals in his crate, reinforcing that it’s a safe, calm, and rewarding space. This is such an important foundation, not just for management, but for his overall well-being.

A crate should never feel like a punishment, it should be a safe haven. And for W***y, that’s exactly what it’s become. We’re so proud of this boy and everything he’s accomplished! ❤️

River 🥰

River has officially completed her on & off-leash Board and Train program!

This field trip takes place at Victoria Park, working through real-life distractions like squirrels, geese, other dogs, and people. Despite all of that, River maintains a beautiful heel and consistent loose-leash walk, staying calm, focused, and connected to her handler the entire time!
She also demonstrates solid sit-stays and down-stays, showing not just obedience, but true engagement and understanding of her training!
We’re so proud of how far River has come. Her owners will now be able to enjoy peaceful walks without pulling and have the confidence of a reliable off-leash recall.

Amazing work, River 💛 We can’t wait to see you continue to thrive at home!

✨ Welcome Louis & Lola to our Board & Train Program ✨

These two adorable Mini Schnauzers have officially joined us, and while they may be small, they are bringing some big behaviours with them 👀

Louis and Lola are a bonded pair with a lot of personality, but also some challenges their owners are ready to work through.

On leash, they struggle with pulling and reactivity toward other dogs. At home, the front door has become a major trigger, with barking, overstimulation, and escalating behaviours when guests arrive.

Louis has learned to use his teeth to control situations, whether that’s going after feet at the door or pushing back when asked to do something he doesn’t like, like getting off the bed or going into his crate. Lola, on the other hand, is more fear-driven, using barking and nipping as a way to create space when she feels unsure or overwhelmed.

Different motivations, same result: and that’s where the work begins.

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be focusing on building clear communication, structure, and confidence for both dogs. They’ll be learning how to exist more calmly in their environment, make better choices, and trust guidance instead of reacting.
Stay tuned to follow their progress, this is going to be a good one 🔥🐾

Welcome W***y to our Board & Train Program 🐾

W***y is our newest board and train, and this handsome 5-year-old Goldendoodle is actually a familiar face! We first worked with W***y when he was just 6 months old for his puppy training, so we’re very happy to have him back with us again.

Recently, W***y has developed some separation anxiety, which has led to destructive behaviors around the home. He’s been chewing and destroying objects, going after baseboards, and even ingesting parts of things he shouldn’t, which can quickly become a serious safety concern.

When his owners reached out to us about this sudden change, we first had them explore potential medical causes with their vet. Sudden behavioral changes can sometimes be linked to underlying health issues, so this is always an important first step. W***y has since been fully cleared, and now he’s here with us to work through the behavioral side of things.

Over the next little while, we’ll be helping W***y build confidence, learn how to relax when he’s alone, and most importantly, feel safe and comfortable in his crate.

Crate training often gets a bad reputation, but when done properly, it’s one of the best tools you can give your dog. A crate isn’t a punishment, it’s a safe, calm space where your dog can settle, decompress, and stay out of harm’s way when you can’t supervise. For dogs like W***y, it can truly be life-changing.

We’re so excited to help this sweet boy feel more secure and set him (and his family) up for success 💛 Stay tuned for his progress!

Brodie went home ❤️

While Brodie is still naturally timid in new environments, he now has the tools and confidence to move through the world without exploding. He walks beautifully on leash, holds his stays, and has a reliable off-leash recall. Most importantly, he has learned how to regulate himself and look to his handler for guidance instead of reacting out of fear.

One of the biggest wins for Brodie has been his social progress, he has made dog friends and can exist around other dogs calmly and appropriately. Watching him run freely and happily off leash with our dogs on hikes has been incredibly rewarding.

Brodie has also learned that people will advocate for him. He no longer feels the need to escalate to aggression because he trusts that his space will be respected when he’s unsure. That trust has allowed his true personality to shine through, and he is such a sweet, sensitive boy.

Behaviour is never “fixed”, it’s maintained. Brodie will continue to need structure, clear communication, and advocacy from his owners to keep building on this progress.

We are so proud of how far you’ve come, Brodie. Your journey is just getting started 🤍
