More smoky day tips!

Rezzie had a bathroom break today with some added enrichment activities. Last week I shared some nose work activities that I do with toys however this is a great easy one to encourage dogs to use their nose all you need is treats and an area to scatter them!

Tips

🐾 if you have a multi dog household do this activity one at a time it’s great for bonding

🐾 cheer them on when they find the treats you will be surprised how this gets their nose going and keeps it fun and engaging

🐾 do a sweep of the area together use your marker work when they find those crumbs!

🐾 ask for a sit or a trick to engage and then give a release word like break or find it

🐾and the best part 🥁

10–15 minutes of focused nose work ≈ 30–60 minutes of walking for many dogs

It’s always hard days when I have to cancel hikes due to smoke but keeping your dogs healthy and safe is always my priority.
