It’s almost been two years that I began Desert Dogs so thought I would take this time to re-introduce myself !

Although I have been walking dogs professionally for 5 years now my experience in the professional pet industry spans over 20 years!!

I began as a certified vet assistant working in an emergency clinic and later being the office mananger for the BCSPCA Spay and Neuter clinic. As careers evolve so did mine and I found myself more driven to work with pet owners in a different setting combining my passion for nature and dogs seemed to seamlessly evolve into hiking the trails with dogs! In my business model I decided not to contract my hikes out to continue to offer exceptional personalized service and develop a relationship with each dog that I walk. That means I am always your dogs walker 🫶

I contiue to volunteer for a non for profit dog rescue Kamloops Ruff Start as a director on the board. Which can sometimes lead me on all sorts of interesting adventures..including helping me with making the decision to become a fear free certified dog trainer!

In Ocotber I will be adding this service into Desert Dogs and am so excited to expand my business services.

And on my time off? Well I love participating in dog sports from agility to tracking , camping being with my horses and spending time on my yoga mat both practicing and teaching.
