May here at Glen Oro is special 🌷

The April showers have given way to May’s flowers and the forest becomes a sea of trilliums! Tulips and daffodils guide guests to their accommodations, the buds break into leaves and the freshness of the air immediately calms your spirit.

As Canadians coming out of a hard winter, we all know how exciting it is to see the world bloom again. Come out and get a front row seat - you can really feel nature rejuvenate while you’re here.

Exploring the fields and forests by horseback, peaking at all of the green goods emerging from slumber is one of the best experiences. A gentle breeze and just that clean smell makes you smile.

Hopefully see you soon 🤗

Something inside you kinda saying you need a reset?

Whatever the reason is that draws you here, you will experience a change in your nervous system.

You will experience a certain primordial refresh, from one degree to another.

You will feel more human again, and ultimately a part of our natural world.

There is also a strong possibility that you will experience a sense of exploration and wonder. Disclaimer: we have really dragged our feet on putting signs up on the trails and encourage guests to figure out how to use maps and compasses. Buuuut we’ve made some signs and will put a few up soon to compromise.

Getting lost every now and then is good for you, don’t discount character building. Be thankful that you’re on a large enough private property where you can get lost! It’s all yours to adventure through.

It’s a luxury camping experience with renowned service, but we also put some responsibility into our guest’s hands and help them achieve success - whether it’s building their first fire, riding a horse, or figuring out what vegetables are in season. When you do something you’ve never done before and succeed, that’s where personal growth happens. Feels good.

Every season (and even month) is a unique experience. Trilliums are about to pop in the forest, and it’s incredible - just a sea of green and white before the leaves come.

If you feel like you need a minute to just catch your breath or reassess whatever - or just to gain some perspective - consider this post your encouragement to come stay with us.

You will feel a positive change if you give it a real go.
