Lilly has settled into her foster-to-adopt home so well and is doing amazing. She’s becoming more comfortable and confident every day.

Transport needed 🐾

We are looking for help transporting a doodle from Grand Prairie to Edmonton between May 29 to June 8 so she can make her way safely to her foster home.

Rocky has arrived safely in Edmonton and is now on his way to his foster home.

He’s doing okay so far, though understandably a little scared of noises and all the new changes around him. Right now, our focus is simply helping him feel safe and allowing him time to decompress.

Once he has settled in, we’ll slowly work on building his confidence and helping him navigate the world in a more comfortable way

Incoming Alert - Meet Confetti

This tiny 6 lb poodle girl is looking for a fresh start. Confetti is a 4-year-old intact female who is friendly with children, dogs, cats, and pretty much everyone she meets. Despite her small size, she has a sweet and loving personality that shines through once she feels safe.

Confetti appears to be an anxious little girl and will need time, patience, and gentle guidance to help build her confidence. She is partially house trained and currently uses p*e pads most of the time. She also knows some basic cues and sleeps well in a big crate at night.

Ideal home:
• Calm, patient family committed to helping her build confidence
• Someone home more often to continue working on routine and house training
• Another gentle dog could be a bonus
• Respectful children welcome

As a foster-based rescue, we are looking for a foster, foster-to-adopt home for Confetti. Not available for adoption until she’s fixed.

OFFICIALLY ADOPTED — Grizzly

From her very first night of uncertainty and decompression… to finding a family completely in love with her — Grizzly has officially found her forever home.

This beautiful doodle quickly stole hearts with her gentle nature, intelligence, and classic Velcro dog personality. It didn’t take long for her foster-to-adopt family to realize she was already home.

She has blossomed so much in such a short time — from settling into a new environment, conquering grooming and surgery recovery, to now living the life every dog deserves: safe, loved, and cherished.

Thank you to everyone who helped Grizzly on her journey — her new family, transport volunteers, veterinary team, groomer, and supporters. Rescue truly takes a village.

Happy forever, sweet Grizzly. Once a DRY dog, always a DRY dog.

The emergency use of 2% liquid strychnine for Richardson’s ground squirrel control has been approved until Nov 1, 2027.

Strychnine poisoning can be deadly and symptoms may appear quickly:
⚠️ Tremors
⚠️ Muscle stiffness
⚠️ Seizures
⚠️ Collapse

❗Seek emergency veterinary care immediately if exposure is suspected.

Incoming to DRY — meet Bernadette “Bernie”

Bernie is a 1.5 year old Bernedoodle girl weighing around 60–70 lbs looking for a foster or foster-to-adopt home through DRY.

Due to major life changes in her current family, Bernie is no longer receiving the time and attention she deserves. Her family loves her deeply and made the difficult but selfless decision to seek help so she can have the life she deserves.

Bernie is described as playful, affectionate, social, and full of love. She can be excitable and jumpy when happy, but settles fairly quickly. She has been around children of all ages and is friendly with dogs and neutral with cats due to lack of or no exposure.

She is crate trained and does best with a sturdy large kennel. She had some separation anxiety as a puppy but has improved significantly over time. She walks well on leash, enjoys adventures, baths, and being with her people.

Bernie would do best in a home that can continue providing structure, exercise, consistency, and one-on-one guidance as she matures into adulthood.

Looking for:
• Foster or foster-to-adopt
• Detached home with fenced yard preferred due to excitement levels
• Family committed to continued structure and training
• Another friendly dog could be a bonus

Foster Update — Melo’s Day Out

Melo had a big day today! He went in to update his annual vaccinations like a champ.

We also gave him a chance to socialize around other dogs, and he did so well. He’ll happily sniff and observe, but he’s not a big “play” guy — Melo prefers having his own space, and that’s perfectly okay.

One thing we love about Melo is how clearly he communicates. He enjoys affection when he consents — he’ll come over for pets when he wants them. We always pause and remove hands to “check in,” and if he wants more, he’ll ask for more. Such a smart boy.

He’s very treat-motivated, but we keep treats light because he can have a sensitive stomach.

Melo has come a long way since intake. He’s an 8-year-old doodle who’s still healthy and has so much life left — he just needs a loving, patient home that understands how to support him.

Foster Update: Lilly

Lilly is now officially part of the family! She’s settling in beautifully and getting along very well with her doodle brother.

She has just finished her heat cycle and will be scheduled for her spay surgery in June.
