Introducing Chad: The Professional Couch Potato 🛋️💤

Chad is basically what would happen if someone turned a weighted blanket into a dog. This gentle boy has mastered the art of relaxing and takes his career as a Professional Napper very seriously. Barking dogs? Screaming kids? Chaos in the house? Chad says, “Sounds like a great time for another snooze.”

This lovable lug wants nothing more than to be wherever his people are — preferably directly in the middle of the floor where everyone has to carefully step over him like a furry speed bump. He’s calm, patient, unbelievably gentle, and so laid back it’s honestly impressive. Chad has only barked twice the entire time in foster care, and both occasions were probably very important announcements about snack time.

He absolutely lives for treats, belly rubs, and quality lounging sessions. He’s a perfect gentleman on leash walks, knows how to shake a paw like the polite prince he is, and has the sweetest soul. While he gets along wonderfully with dogs, kids, and cats, he may occasionally remind a rude cat that he is, in fact, the king of the living room. (To be fair, foster mom says the cat usually starts it.)

Chad would thrive in a home where he has company most of the time. He doesn’t love being alone, he’d much rather spend his day supervising your activities while horizontally sprawled across the floor nearby. If you’ve been searching for a calm, goofy, affectionate best friend who asks for very little besides snacks and belly rubs, Chad may just be your soulmate in dog form.

Likes: Treats, napping, belly rubs, lounging near his people, snacks

Dislikes: Being alone too long, rude cats

Ace is the kind of dog that makes you fall in love with shepherds. Loyal, incredibly smart, eager to learn, and always trying his best to make his people happy. He’s driven, playful, goofy, and thrives when he has structure, connection, and someone in his corner.

But right now, Ace is running out of time in his current foster home. If he doesn’t find an adopter now, he’ll have to go through yet another big change and adjustment.
Foster homes are temporary. And when a dog has been in rescue as long as Ace has, sometimes that unfortunately means going through more than one foster home along the way.

What Ace really needs is stability. A place where he can settle in, feel safe, and finally stop wondering where he’ll end up next. We know his person is out there. Someone who understands and appreciates a classic shepherd heart — intelligent, devoted, and full of personality.

Oscar and Franny have been waiting far too long for someone to choose them, but somehow they still wake up every day believing their people are out there.

Their wish list is pretty simple:
• a big couch
• good snacks
• humans obsessed with them
• staying together forever

❄️ Meet Lumi — Your tiny little snowflake shadow 🤍

Soft as fresh snowfall and just as magical, Lumi is a beautiful all-white kitten with a gentle spirit and a curious little heart. Named after the Finnish word for “snow,” Lumi floats quietly through the house like a tiny winter cloud, always wanting to keep her favourite humans within sight.

This sweet girl loves following you from room to room, supervising your daily activities from nearby cozy spots, and settling somewhere she can watch you with her bright curious eyes. When Lumi decides cuddle time is officially approved, you’ll be rewarded with the softest little purrs that sound like a peaceful snowfall outside your window.

As she’s grown stronger and healthier, Lumi’s playful personality has truly started to sparkle. She loves wrestling with her foster brother, chasing springs across the floor like tiny hockey pucks, and pouncing after wand toys with surprising determination. She’s adventurous, energetic, and always ready to explore every corner of her snowy kingdom.

Lumi can still be a little sensitive at times, especially after her rough start in life, but every day she becomes more confident and affectionate. She would thrive in a patient, loving home with another playful cat to help her continue blossoming into the happy, mischievous little snowball she’s meant to be.

Likes: Following her humans around, window watching, springs, wand toys, exploring, wrestling with her foster brother, cozy naps nearby
Dislikes: Long belly rubs, beef pâté, overly pushy dogs

Good with dogs? With slow introductions, yes. Her exposure to dogs has been minimal and so far, canines are not her favourite.
Good with kids? Yes - with gentle and respectful children
Good with cats? Yes - she would do best with another young playful cat in the home.

Behind every photo in this reel is a dog waiting for someone to choose them. 🐾

Some need a home where they can be the only pet. Some would thrive with a dog companion beside them. Some are puppies learning about the world, while others are older dogs hoping for a fresh start.

Different personalities. Different needs. Same hope.

A foster home gives these dogs a safe place to decompress, learn, heal, and finally exhale while they wait for their forever family.

Pony may be small, but she brings BIG main-character energy wherever she goes. This adorable little lady lives for snuggles and absolutely melts into your arms after a busy day of being cute. She’s sweet, affectionate, and full of personality without being yappy or nippy.
Her signature move? The famous “Pony Circle Dance” . When she’s excited, wants a treat, or needs to go outside, she spins in the cutest little circles with her tiny feet moving at lightning speed. It’s impossible not to smile watching her.

Pony also loves heading out on little walks where her short legs zoom along like she’s on an important royal mission. While she’s still working on “paw” and “touch,” she already knows how to sit and comes when called like the good little princess she is.

This tiny diva would love a home where she can be the center of attention — after all, every queen deserves her throne! She seems fairly house trained and is ready to rule someone’s heart forever. 💕

The demand for rescue has never slowed down… but donations have.

We’ve already taken in a record number of animals this year, including multiple unexpected litters and at least 5 surprise pregnancies that resulted in far more animals needing care than we originally anticipated.

Every week we continue taking in animals who need medical care, safe foster homes, food, supplies, and support. As a 100% volunteer-run rescue, we rely entirely on donations and fundraising to keep going and to continue giving these animals the care they deserve.

We are trying everything we can to stay ahead of rising expenses while still saying “yes” to animals who have nowhere else to go.

Right now, we urgently need our community’s help. ❤️

✨ Meet adiptable Coast 🤍

Tiny but mighty, Coast is a delicate little sweetheart with a big heart for her people. She loves kids and adults alike, and once she feels safe, she’s all about snuggles and being close to her humans. She enjoys exploring outdoors and taking in the world at her own gentle pace.

Coast loves fresh air and little adventures, but because Coast is a tripod, she much prefers shorter outings. Although she is not a fan of long walks, she is just happy to be included and near her favourite people, wherever that might be.

Coast is crate trained and leash trained, and is slowly learning new cues as she builds confidence. She’s still figuring out the world, so patience and understanding go a long way with her.

She can be a little reactive at times (barking at certain people or dogs) and is sensitive to loud noises, snow, and cold weather, so she thrives in a calm, predictable environment where she feels safe and supported.

Coast is looking for a gentle home that will cherish her for the tiny, loving, brave little soul she is — a perfect pocket-sized, 3-legged companion ready to snuggle her way into someone’s heart. 🤍

🚨 URGENT FOSTER HOME NEEDED 🚨

We saved his life… but now this gentle giant has nowhere to go.

At 3 years old and 135 lbs, he may be large, but he’s truly just a sweet, gentle boy. He’s good with dogs, cats, and kids, and has a very kind nature. ❤️

He does have epilepsy, but it eill be managed with medication, which we are working to get started ASAP.

After a seizure, he simply needs a calm, quiet space away from other pets and stimulation for about an hour while he recovers and starts feeling like himself again.

That’s all he’s asking for: understanding, stability, and a safe loving place.

Please help us find this deserving boy a foster or forever home. Sharing this post could be what changes his future. 🙏

🖤 Are you Team Edward? 🖤

This handsome guy may not sparkle in the sunlight, but he has mastered the mysterious, main-character energy from Twilight. ✨

Edward is around 2–3 years old and currently waiting for his forever home at Pet Valu Rabbit Hill.

From what we’ve seen so far, Edward is a confident, curious boy who likes being part of the action. He enjoys attention, will meow to greet people passing by, and seems very interested in exploring everything around him. He definitely gives the impression that he likes to supervise his kingdom and know exactly what everyone is doing. 🐾
