Ravioli’s Adoption Story ❤️

In December 2024, Christine arrived at the Edmonton Humane Society hopeful she would find her new furry best friend. She made her way right to the cats and found one who had caught her eye. As she sat down to play with her chosen kitty, she felt a pair of eyes on her from a distance.

As she turned around, there he was — a little orange cat calmly sitting at his kennel door 🐱

“I immediately went over and stood at his enclosure for 20 minutes, with him laying in my arms, until my legs went numb,” Christine laughs. “It was love at first sight!”

Since then, the pair have grown into the perfect companions, and Christine has learned so many wonderful things about Ravioli, including his superstar qualities 🌟

“Ravioli is very affectionate, friendly and smart! He follows me everywhere as a true Velcro cat and I love my orange shadow,” Christine says. “He's quite a ham for the camera 📷 which is funny because his name is Ravioli Hamm! He even has his own YouTube channel and is 1000x more popular than I’ll ever be. I love letting him shine. He's an earth angel and I am so blessed to be his caregiver.”

We’re so glad these two have found each other and bring so much joy to one another’s lives. We wish this little family many more years of cuddles, camera time and companionship 🫶

The weather outside is frightful, but a puppy is SO delightful! 🐶❄️

Luckily, EHS CEO Liza Sunley was able to warm some hearts when she introduced sweet four-month-old Dewey during this morning's Global Edmonton segment.

Dewey is looking for a family who can help him grow, provide lots of love and enrichment, and allow him to take in all the scents on his favourite sniffy walks.

This morning on Global Edmonton, Dr. Ted Purcell introduced senior sweetie, Athena 🐾

Athena is a nine-year-old Bengal mix kitty who enjoys the musical stylings of Whitney Houston and will never say no to taking in one of her favourite silent films. She loves attention, and will do well in a home that can provide her with closeness and affection.

As she is relaxing into her golden years, Athena prefers a quieter, calmer space where she can spend the day snoozing or following her favourite people around. She has a history of living with other cats and would be fine with another calm feline friend to match her vibes 🫶
