I am now able to groom dogs on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays out of a couple of shops in town, and am taking appointments (current clients only) starting at the beginning of May. I am still looking for a small space to put a shop in, but in the meantime I can take a limited number of dogs on these days only. I am now back in the valley and looking forward to seeing some of you again soon! I am actively trying to figure out a work situation. One of my options is housecall grooming. If anyone (current clients only at this time) have a capacity and wish for me to groom your dog in your home/garage etc, please send me a message on sms or WhatsApp (2507023345) or on Messenger at this page. An update for everyone!
I am still in India, but in transition phase as I prepare for a return flight to Canada on April 8th. I will be in Vancouver for a day or two so I can visit with my nephew in GF Strong Rehabilitation Centre there, before returning to the Comox Valley. I am in the process of trying to establish a place to work from that isn't a commission based situation, and there is a possibility that some of that might involve some house call grooming, in the interim at least, until I can get something organised. I just found out about this dog breed for the first time. Did anyone else know about these dogs? A Coast Salish breed, now extinct.

The Salish Wool Dog, also known as the Comox dog or Clallam Indian Dog,[1] is an extinct breed of white, long-haired, Spitz-type dog that was developed and bred by the Coast Salish peoples of what is now Washington state and British Columbia for textile production.[2]

I have been reading reports of this actually working. For all my clients that have this problem with their dogs' under eyes tear staining. Try giving them blueberries and distilled water. It's worth a try!
