⭐️ Did you know that Vet Techs get to play the role of phlebotomist, and lab tech? Not only do we obtain blood samples from your pets but we also run the samples through in house lab machines and prepare them to send to other laboratories! This could also mean preparing different types of cytology and reporting back to the veterinarian to help with a diagnosis! ⭐️

⭐️ Did you know that Vet Techs are responsible for induction, monitoring/maintenance, and recovery of anesthesia for your pets? Our lovely veterinarians help us create treatment plans and plan drug dosages while we administer the medication and provide necessary changes to the anesthesia while your pets undergo procedures. These skills are essential to carry out the best possible care for pets needing surgery! ⭐️

This week we want to highlight the importance of the role of veterinary technicians! We will be sharing a fun fact about our jobs each day this week 🗓️

⭐️ Did you know that Vet Techs are trained to work on animals other than cats and dogs? We also need to know how to handle and care for wide variety of other animals such as farm animals and exotics! This could include working with larger species such as horses, goats, sheep and alpacas, or smaller species like guinea pigs, hamsters, birds, and reptiles! ⭐️

Meet Sweet Hobo 🫶
We have been trimming Hobo’s nails for a year and a half now. She wasn’t fond of getting her nails trimmed when we first met her but now she lays on her side, patiently and willingly to get her nail trim done 🤍 Once we are done she gets the zoomies and can’t wait to get a treat! 🐾

Where you can schedule an appointment to have your pet’s nails trimmed. All of the proceeds will be donated to the Movember fund!
