Keeping your dog healthy starts with prevention!

Rosie saw Dr. Nelson and RVT Kelsey and is now fully protected!

Vaccines protect your furry friend from serious (and sometimes deadly) diseases. Here are the core vaccines every dog should receive:

1. Rabies – Required by law, this vaccine protects against a fatal virus that affects both animals and humans.
�2. DHPP – A combo vaccine that covers:�• Distemper�• Hepatitis (Adenovirus)�• Parainfluenza�• Parvovirus

3. Leptospirosis – protection from a bacterial disease that can affect both dogs and humans. It’s spread through water or soil contaminated by the urine of infected animals—like raccoons, rodents, or livestock.

Based on your dogs exposure rush non-core vaccines like Bordetella (kennel cough) or Lyme may be given.

Is your pet scratching their ears more than usual? It could be ear mites—a common and uncomfortable parasite that can cause: Intense itching, Head shaking, Dark, crumbly discharge (like coffee grounds), Inflammation or infection if left untreated. Ear mites are highly contagious between pets, but the good news is—they’re treatable! If you notice any of these signs, schedule a visit with us. A quick exam and treatment can get your pet feeling better fast.
