My husband and I recently experienced a distressing situation with our pet, Gizmo, who suffered from a severe respiratory issue. We had a scheduled veterinary appointment with our regular veterinarian on Tuesday for a check-up, and Gizmo was subsequently treated and discharged with antibiotics. However, by Thursday morning, Gizmo's condition had deteriorated significantly. Unfortunately, our regular veterinarian was unavailable to assist us and recommended that we consult another veterinarian in Cornwall. Fortunately, Brookdale Animal Hospital took us in immediately. Upon arrival, one of the staff members promptly attended to Gizmo, administering oxygen immediately. The attending doctor, who possesses 10 years of emergency experience, kept us informed and alleviated our concerns. We were advised to return home and await further instructions while the hospital conducted tests. Three hours later, we received clearance to bring Gizmo home. Once we returned, the doctor explained everything in detail, from the bloodwork to the x-rays. The hospital provided additional medication and scheduled a follow-up appointment in two weeks to monitor Gizmo's progress. We extend our sincere gratitude to the entire team for their exceptional kindness, professionalism, and expertise, which undoubtedly saved Gizmo's life.
