PART 2 | Evolution of a Peartree: 2003–2006 ✨

Back in 2003, our founder Karen had her hands full — in the best way!

After selling her first ceramics company, Arts Desire, she turned the page and officially launched Peartree.

What followed were three years of incredible growth: new kits, new colors, new ideas, and new markets. It was during this time that Peartree went national, bringing our clay impression kits to families across Canada.

Custom color matching at Peartree ✨

Ever wonder how we capture your pet’s unique coloring? To put it simply, each Peartree impression starts with a carefully chosen palette!

In this video, Peartree artist Liz is selecting and matching paint colors from our handcrafted color chips, which are designed in-studio.

If you choose to personalize your impression with a Custom Color Match, all you need to do is send a fur, feather or photo reference along with your impression to the studio. Our artists will then mix and layer pigments to match the exact hues of your pet — creating a one-of-a-kind, hand-painted keepsake that reflects their true coloring.

Every impression is then finished with hand lettering and kiln-fired for a lasting memory.
