We’re so excited to welcome all our furry friends back to Calgary Dog House! 🐶❤️

As we reopen, we kindly ask everyone to continue helping us keep our daycare a happy, healthy, and safe environment for all dogs.

🚨 A friendly reminder: If your dog is coughing or showing ANY signs of illness, such as sneezing, a runny nose, lethargy, or unusual behaviour, please let us know and keep your pup home.

Even mild symptoms can be contagious, and we want to do everything we can to prevent another outbreak.

We truly appreciate everyone’s patience, understanding, and cooperation during our temporary closure. ❤️

🐾 IMPORTANT DAYCARE UPDATE 🐾

Due to several reported cases of kennel cough within our daycare pack, we have made the SAD decision to temporarily close our daycare as a precaution to help prevent further spread.

The health and well-being of all the dogs in our care will always be our top priority. ❤️

🐶 DAYCARE — TEMPORARILY CLOSED EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 21, 2026

✂️ GROOMING — REMAINS OPEN

Grooming will continue with a few temporary precautions:

🐾 By appointment only

🐾 No daycare dogs will be present

🐾 Dogs must be picked up promptly after their grooming appointment

🐾 Any dogs showing signs of coughing, sneezing, nasal discharge, or other respiratory symptoms must stay home and reschedule

We will be taking this time to thoroughly clean and disinfect our facility, monitor the situation, and help reduce the risk of further transmission.

We will keep everyone updated on when daycare will reopen.

We understand that this may cause some inconvenience, and we truly appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding.

Thank you SO much, and we will miss you all during this time.

Kennel Cough Season Reminder!

It’s that time of year again! 🤧🐶

With kennel cough and other respiratory illnesses making their rounds, we want to send out a friendly reminder to help keep all our furry guests happy and healthy! ❤️

Please keep an eye out for any of the following symptoms:

🐾 Coughing or hacking (even occasionally)

🐾 Sneezing or sniffling

🐾 Runny nose or nasal discharge

🐾 Lethargy or unusual tiredness

🐾 Any other signs your pup may not be feeling their best

If your dog is showing ANY of these symptoms, please keep them home from daycare and grooming until they are feeling better and are no longer contagious.

Even a mild cough or runny nose can be a sign of something contagious. Kennel cough can spread quickly in social environments, even among vaccinated dogs.

We absolutely love having your pups here, but keeping everyone healthy and safe is always our top priority! 🐶❤️

Their first few grooming experiences are SO important! They can have a big impact on how a puppy feels about grooming for the rest of their lives.

That’s why we treat every puppy like they’re our own! Patience, reassurance, lots of positive reinforcement, and as little stress as possible. 🥰

We take the time to let them get comfortable with the sounds, tools, handling, and new environment instead of rushing through the process.

Our goal isn’t just to give them a beautiful groom, it’s to help them learn that grooming can be a safe, positive, and even an enjoyable experience. ❤️
