This here was a new client named Aki and his before photo looks like he stuck his tongue in a light socket 😅
Being a toy Australian Shepherd, he was your typical nervous nelly and untrusting of new strangers, but by the end of our session was warming up a bit to me and I'm hopeful that we'll be able to continue working on building that trust

So my cousin Holly put me to work today 😅

She brought me her absolutely adorable 1 year old farm dog Ruby.
Ruby has never been groomed before and she rocked it!
Her coat was very compacted but with a little elbow grease and like 5 baths, I managed to get her looking like a whole new dog!
I will most likely be finding her hair around the house for weeks 😆

Happy Thursday, is winter over yet 😵‍💫

I am currently booking for June but I have a few spots open to fill if anyone wants in before then.
Also thank you a million times over to all my wonderful clients that show up on time (even when it's our 500th winter storm) and prebook! It makes my life and your pups life so much easier when you stay on a regular schedule. I appreciate you all so much🙏

This is another one of my favorite old ladies, Scully 🖤

When I first met Scully, her mom warned me that she will pretend to faint but that she's only doing it on purpose to get out grooming. Okay, that's a first I thought to myself.
Fast forward to her bath and yep, this smart old gal does indeed pretend to faint 😂

So now we've figured out a routine that works best her and my back 😅, as she's a senior dog and the grooming process is long due to her coat, I do almost the entire groom with her laying down and only getting her to stand when absolutely needed.

This is why I offer the services I do as I would not be able to do this for her at the other busy shops I work out of.
Many groomers just want to get the job done, push the dog through the process and it is quite stressful, for the dog and human.
As you can see, she's perfectly relaxed, enjoying her spa day, even if it takes a bit longer and looks a bit different.

I do not recommend this way of grooming unless you are a professional by the way

Also, she reminds me of my old soul dog Farrel too so she has a sweet spot in my heart 💜

Cuteness alert 📣📣

Everyone meet Tilly 🥰
She is an itty bitty 3lb teacup Maltese Poodle and I love her!!
It is so so so important to get these tiny pups desensitized to the grooming process at a young age. Tiny dogs can be quite challenging, especially when all my tools are bigger than them 😂
She has made my entire week and can't wait for her to come back in 6 weeks for her first actual haircut!
