MEOW Foundation Founded in 2000, MEOW Foundation is a cat-focused registered charity and humane society with a no-kill mandate located in Calgary, Canada.

MEOW Foundation is a Calgary-based no-kill registered charity that rescues and adopts stray and abandoned cats, and provides valuable community programs.

*Please note, visits are by appointment only* We rescue and facilitate the adoption of stray and abandoned cats into new, loving permanent homes. We work hard to match each MEOW cat with the best possible home based on his or her personality, hi

story, habits and individual needs. In addition to our Rescue and Adoption program, MEOW Foundation offers a subsidized Spay Neuter Assistance Program (SNAP), Cat Food Assistance Program and Trap Neuter Return (TNR) Program. Our volunteers and staff are passionate about providing the best care to every cat and dedicated to providing the best services to our supporters. We believe that through the dedication and compassion of people across the planet, we will create a society that respects the animals with whom we share the world. Hello! My name is Jigsaw. My early days were spent living outdoors, where I became part of a community of cats that’s now a TNR (Trap Neuter Return) colony — and that’s how MEOW found me. The team likes to call me a bit of a ladies’ man, and it’s very possible I’m the proud dad of more than a few kittens who’ve since found safety too.

While I handled outdoor life just fine, I didn’t hesitate when the opportunity came to leave it behind and join the adoption program. I’m a good-natured, easygoing guy who’s ready for something new: a forever home and a human bestie to call my own.

Those chubby tomcat cheeks, a crumpled ear, and a few well-earned battle scars tell the story of a cat who’s lived a full, rough-and-tumble life. After turning up on a rural property, Collins landed safely at MEOW, where his next chapter was served up on a silver platter.

After extensive dental surgery and a full health check, this social butterfly is ready to spread his wings and start fresh in 2026. Collins would thrive as a single cat, though he may do well with the right feline companion.

Meet Katashi, a big kitty with an even bigger personality! Katashi is a large, sometimes sassy boy who knows what he likes. He’s happiest in a quiet home without kids or other pets, where he can relax in sunny spots, chat with the birds, and enjoy a good meal (he’s very food-motivated, though surprisingly picky about treats).

He enjoys short play sessions, gentle pets (no tummy, please), and once he’s settled, he’ll happily take your spot on the couch or lean against you for company. With time and trust, Katashi may even enjoy being picked up for cuddles.

Katashi has early hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy (heart disease). He doesn’t need medication right now, but will require yearly checkups to monitor his heart.
