Animal HealthLink

Animal HealthLink After-hours veterinary teletriage support by Registered Veterinary Technologists. Our expert team of RVTs has an average of 15 years of experience.

Animal HealthLink (AHL) provides remote triage, aka "TeleTriage" services for veterinary practices. We act as an extension of veterinary practices and provide professional, competent, and compassionate service to veterinary clients. AHL TeleTriage service is designed by and for veterinary professionals to integrate with primary care, emergency, and referral facilities. AHL helps on-call practices

by a 75% reduction in after-hours phone calls. We also provide appropriate advice and reassurance to those clients during those stressful calls. We work hard to ensure veterinary teams are well-rested and set up for success for the true emergencies and are the best version of themselves during the day. Our ER hospital services allow hospital staff to focus on the critical patient in front of them. Blending TeleTriage and in-person care revolutionizes ER workflow and redeploys critical staff to improve patient care and hospital efficiency. Integration of TeleTriage into ER workflows results in staff retention, improved hospital profitability, and most importantly - patient care. We created AHL with the vision to improve the lives of veterinary professionals and the patients they serve.

Our mission is to give veterinary professionals the ability to focus on what they do best: taking care of the patient. NOTE: Animal HealthLink only works in conjunction with accredited/certified veterinary practices in North America. The TeleTriage service is only accessible through those veterinary practices.

October is RVT Month, a time to recognize the Registered Veterinary Technologists who make exceptional patient care possible, both in clinics and behind the scenes.

As the month comes to a close, we’re celebrating the RVTs whose expertise, empathy, and dedication keep patients safe and veterinary teams supported.

At Animal HealthLink, our team of RVTs works remotely to triage patients 24/7, ensuring that animals receive the care they need and clinics can rest easy knowing their clients are in capable hands.

Thank you to our wonderful RVTs for all the unseen moments, the late nights, and the quiet compassion that saves lives, comforts pet parents, and supports veterinary teams every day. 💙 Swipe to see how appreciated you are!

Thank you so much to everyone who joined us on Monday night for our 4th Annual CanWest Bowling Mixer & Costume Contest!

From creative Halloween costumes to friendly competition on the lanes and game tables, this event was a total success. We’re so proud to be part of such a supportive, passionate, and fun veterinary community. Bringing everyone together to connect, laugh, and recharge reminds us how wonderful this profession truly is.

A special shoutout to our sponsors for their generous support: Solvet Canada, Pets Plus Us, Elanco, Sun Life Canada, Gateway Pet Memorial, and Scotiabank.

Shoutout to Pixel Pumas for capturing the night perfectly for the second year in a row, and to High Rollers in Banff for being such an awesome venue.

Thank you to Steady Gait Planning and Mosaic Veterinary Partners for co-hosting.

We’re so grateful to everyone who came out to celebrate with us. We can’t wait to see you again next year!

It’s here! Episode 1 of Don’t Call Me Catty is live.

This wild idea started while planning our booth for the recent CVMA conference in Victoria.

"What if we set up a pop-up podcast studio right on the trade floor and talked to the people shaping the veterinary industry about the stuff that really matters?"

So we brought in the mics, cameras, neon sign, comfy chairs, and hit record.

Our CEO, Leilani Mustillo, co-hosting with Jillian Carr of Steady Gait Planning talked everything from:

- Burnout,
- Career pivots,
- Finances,
- Side quests,
- Work-life balance,
- Emergency management,
- Access to care, and
- The evolution of our industry with a wide range of interesting guests.

We laughed (a lot), got real, and heard incredible stories.

Our first episode is now streaming on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and YouTube. This is just the beginning of many more conversations to come.

Listen now & join us for the conversations the vet world really needs to have.

In the inaugural episode of 'Don't Call Me Catty,' co-hosts Jillian and Leilani built a pop-up podcast studio at Canada's national veterinary conference, CVM...

While many Canadians were enjoying the August long weekend, the team at Animal HealthLink was on duty supporting worried pet owners, triaging emergencies, and keeping patients out of the ER when it was safe to do so.

📞 Over just three days, we answered:
🐾 383 calls on Saturday,
🐾 368 calls on Sunday, and
🐾 320 calls on Monday,

with a total of 1,071 pets triaged.

Thanks to our incredible team of RVTs and 24/7 teletriage system, pets received timely support, and our clinic partners enjoyed a well-earned rest knowing their clients were in expert hands.

Long weekends may come and go, but our care never takes a break.
