It’s another feel Good Friday and we wanted to share with you a story of compassion, dedication and the kind hearts that exist right here in our Brantford community. A Good Samaritan called the clinic because he found two young kittens abandoned and wanted them to be seen and cared for. With the help of another amazing Good Samaritan who is a client of ours, these kittens were both seen and connected with a local rescue. These kittens needed vet care because as you can see, the little black and white girl had a suspicious wound on her neck. After examination by our team, it was discovered this was not just a normal wound but instead it was the result of a bot fly parasite actively living in her skin! The parasite was removed and this little girl was started on meds and is expected to make a full healthy recovery. The best news of all is that these two babies will be adopted out together by a family member of one of our staff! They get to stay together and grow up in our Beattie family all because of the amazing work of caring pet people in the Brantford community! Isn’t it amazing all the wonderful things that can happen when people work together! Meet Hansel and Gretel, two very lucky kittens!
