A diabetes diagnosis doesn’t mean your pet has to stop living a happy, active life. With a consistent daily routine, proper treatment, nutrition, and regular veterinary care, many diabetic pets can enjoy a great quality of life for years to come. 🐾

Managing diabetes is a journey, but you don’t have to navigate it alone. Reach out to our team for support.

🎃🐾 Halloween is here! We hope you and your pets enjoy all the spooky fun, but remember to keep the candy bowl out of paw’s reach. 🍫👻

A little extra caution can help keep your furry friends safe and happy this Halloween! 🧡

🐾🎃 Double the kitty cuteness this Halloween! 🐈‍⬛🧡

Our very own Vet Tech Ariel got into the Halloween spirit with her kitty ears, and her adorable patient Norman was the purr-fect little companion! 😻

We’re not sure who wore the ears better, but we think these two make one pretty cute pair! 🧡👻

Happy Halloween from all of us at Windrush! 🎃🐾

We already know how this one ends. You could spend $80 on the plushest, most Insta-worthy cat bed on the market... and your cat will still choose a random patch of sunlight on the floor instead.

It's not you; it's cat math, an ancient and unshakable formula where comfort always loses to warmth, novelty always loses to familiarity, and logic just doesn't apply.

So tell us: which one would YOUR cat pick? 👇

🐾 Celebrating Ariel this RVT Month! 🐾

Ariel brings creativity, whimsy, and compassion to Windrush, supporting both her teammates and our clients with empathy and care.

Her many talents shine throughout the clinic—from assisting in surgery and taking dental radiographs to creating social media posts featuring the adorable pets we’re lucky to meet. She has a wonderful way of capturing their personalities and sharing the joy they bring to our days.

Her love of nature, plants, pets, and the little things that make life joyful is something she regularly shares with all of us. Whether it’s a story, a photo, or a moment of appreciation, she reminds us to find joy in our busy days.

Ariel’s self-awareness and thoughtful perspective also help keep us grounded, encouraging us to pause, consider another point of view, and approach situations with understanding.

Thank you, Ariel, for the skill, creativity, and heart you bring to our team! 💙

Glow sticks may be fun for Halloween, but they can be unpleasant for pets who bite into them!

The liquid inside is generally not considered toxic, but it can cause a strong bitter taste, excessive drooling, foaming, and mouth irritation. If your pet chews on a glow stick or glow jewelry, rinse their mouth with water and monitor them closely. 🐾

If symptoms persist or you’re concerned, contact our team for guidance. https://windrushvet.com/contact/

🎃🚪 Trick-or-treaters at the door can be exciting for us, but stressful for our pets. With the doorbell ringing and people coming and going, it’s also an easy time for a pet to slip out unnoticed.

Create a safe space away from the front door with a favourite toy, puzzle feeder, or calming background noise. Before opening the door, take a quick moment to make sure your pet is safely out of the way.

And just in case they do get out, make sure their ID tags and microchip information are up to date.

A few simple precautions can help keep your pets safe while the Halloween fun continues! 👻🧡

Cats are experts at hiding illness, a survival instinct that can make health problems difficult to spot until they're more advanced. 🐱 That's why annual wellness exams are so important. Our team can detect subtle changes, identify concerns early, and recommend preventive care to help keep your cat healthy for years to come.

This National Pet Wellness Month, don't wait for symptoms. Schedule your cat's annual exam today. https://windrushvet.com/contact/

🔨🐾 A Little Sprucing Up at Windrush! 🐾🔨
We're excited to share that our clinic will be getting a little refresh! Renovations will be taking place early next week, so you may notice some extra noise and activity around the clinic.
We will remain open during the renovations, but we have made some adjustments to our appointment availability to help accommodate the work being done.
We'll be doing our best to keep disruptions to a minimum while continuing to provide the care your furry family members need.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we make some improvements to our space. We appreciate your support and look forward to sharing the updates with you! ❤️🐾
