Is it... Feel Fine Thursday? Feeling Okay Saturday?? No, of course - it's !! And we're here to share some happy stories from around the Humane Society this week 🎊
🍋 Starting off strong with the adoption of sweet Lime! Lime didn't have the opportunity to experience much of the world during his puppyhood, so new people, places, and experiences are overwhelming for him. He approaches life cautiously and came to us looking for a patient, understanding family that would let him build confidence at his own pace. We are so happy that after spending some time with us and getting neutered and up to date on all his medical needs, Lime (now Max!) found his match. Congratulations to this sweet new family!
🎈 we LOVE visits!! It's always nice when our animals come back to the shelter so that we can have the chance to say hello. Koda was adopted from us back in 2024, and last week these two came in for a special visit to bring in a birthday donation! Happy belated birthday, and thank you so much for stopping in 🎂
🐶 If you've been to an HSHPE event, you've probably met our loyal mascot, Kibbles! Like any dog, Kibbles found himself in need of a bath, so this week he took himself over to Parsons Cleaners for a deluxe grooming service. He came back clean, refreshed, and wagging his tail! Thank you so much to Parsons for taking such great care of our Kibbles 🧼
🐈⬛ Sometimes our biggest Feel Goods come from seeing positive change within our animals while they're here at the shelter! This is Walnut, a shy baby who's been in our care for a few weeks now. Our team has been working diligently every day to socialize him and show him patient and gentle care. After a few weeks with us, he's learned to trust our team, and now he greets us with confidence!! It means so much to us to build up these relationships over time and we're so proud of this little guy💞
🐕 Chi was brought into our care as a stray by a member of the public at the end of July. During his time here at the shelter, he was able to get up to date on all of his medical needs: he was neutered, dewormed, and microchipped, and was treated for fleas, ticks, and mites. Now this happy boy has found a loving home to call his own! Happy tails to you, Chi❤️
💧 Our friends over at Culligan Water have chosen the Humane Society as the charity of choice for their Customer Appreciation Day event. Pictured is the display they'll have in their Belleville location during the next month leading up to the event, collecting donations of needed items for the animals in our care! Thank you Culligan Belleville 👏
🌠 this adoption update was out of this world! Atlas (formerly Daniel) came into our care as a stray back in March. He was adopted a few short weeks later, and his parents tell us that he is truly living his best life going to the cottage, swimming, playing with his cousins, and watching softball games! His pawrent's tell us: "he loves sleeping and head scratches and follows us everywhere like a shadow". We're so happy to see this goofy baby thriving 🥰
🎁 Camryn came in today with a gift for our animals! Each year at her birthday she collects donations for the Humane Society, and this year, she brought in $200 and all kinds of supplies for the animals in our care. Wishing this incredible young Animal Advocate a very happy 10th birthday and an amazing year ahead! Thank you for your generosity, Camryn 💖
🍔 We are so excited to have been selected as the charity of choice for the August Burger of the Month by the team at Burger Revolution! Proceeds from each The Rising burger sold all month long will benefit the Humane Society Hastings Prince Edward. Thank you, Burger Rev! ❤️
Thank you to our supporters for helping us to care for the animals of our community and working with us to foster compassion all around. There is so much incredible work being done in the shelter and beyond to support these animals! Have a beautiful weekend🌻
