Good morning all.......

VENDORS:
Just a reminder if you are a vendor and coming to Barrie Kennel and Obedience Club Inc. shows Aug 1-3 at the Essa Agriplex, you have to book your vendor space directly through Essa Agriplex.
You can contact Megan at Essa Agriplex to book a vendor space. All vendors are in Barn 2. This barn is the one next Barn 1 where the show rings and grooming area.

This year marks BKOC 80th Anniversary established in 1946

Plans are well underway to make this a fun weekend

The club is having a dress theme for the Sat show with what was worn in the late 40’s.

Last night the BKOC held our holiday social at the Coldwater Bowling Centre.
The pot luck was fantastic, the basic food groups covered - pizza, dip and sweets. Someone brought fruit & veggies but we won't hold that against them. 😁
Fierce competition for the strike/spare prizes. Congratulations to everyone who took home a prize 🏆

Thank you to Gretta Hutton our social chair for organizing the event, and to members who donated for the prizes.

Thank you to the staff at Coldwater Bowling for excellent service as always.

We are on the search for Purebred Dog Owners, Exhibitors and Breeders. Become a member of The Barrie Kennel & Obedience Club.
Our group consists of Reputable Breeders, Pet Owners, Handlers and Judges that are passionate about Pure Bred Dogs. We meet once per month to discuss what is going on and also share our knowledge and experience. We put on our Annual Conformation Show in August and also do Obedience Trials and Handling Classes throughout the year as well as get involved in our community by promoting the Pure Bred Dog.
Help us to grow and continue to promote the Pure Bred Dog in Canada. Become a Member and come and hang out with some fun, knowledgeable and quirky dog lovers.

Specialties & Boosters for 2026
Is your Club looking for a Show to host you for 2026?
The Barrie Kennel & Obedience Club would love to host your Specialty or Booster at our Annual Conformation Show at the Essa Agriplex.
For 2026 we have the whole Barn Available for indoor rings and grooming as well as the ability to have an outdoor ring.

Looking to see if anyone is interested in coming to Handling classes? Is 7:45 pm too late to start or does that work? How about Tuesdays, would be a 4-6 week commitment, pre-paid, variety of coaches, expose your dog to different people touching them, you get different inputs each week. Barrie location to be announced

Saturday October 18th the Barrie Kennel and Obedience Club successfully held our 3rd and final obedience sanction match. Thank you to Judge Diana Kirkaldy for taking the time to judge our match, your fun spirit and kind words made the ring a welcoming place. The Muskoka District Kennel Club opened their space for us to hold our event. Thank you for supporting the BKOC.
