Story time!
Driving to my afternoon walks across Cundles today I spotted a small Chihuahua in a frantic sprint through traffic. Jumped out of my car and raced along with other passersby to try catch her so she was safe! Thankfully we nabbed her and she had her tags so I was able to get her back to her family who was very confused as to how she got out, but incredibly relieved to hear she was safe.
Now am I posting this to brag? No. I’m posting this to thank every single person on Cundles who pulled over, stopped cars, joined in the sprint, and helped make sure Mila made it home safely.
I’m also posting it as a reminder to all pet parents, dog caregivers, delivery people, or anyone entering houses that have dogs in them. PLEASE always make sure the dogs are safe and secure, andthat all doors are properly latched when you leave.
Dogs are important family members to a ton of people. Always do your part in making sure peoples’ families are safe.

Hey dog people, an important announcement going into June 2025!

Unfortunately, even though I've tried my best to not have to for the longest time, I'm finally having to cave and raise my rates.

I'm still committed to offering you and your pups the best care possible, and hopefully this will create opportunities for new services in the future such as group hikes!

Obviously the economy is not doing anyone any favours these days, and every dollar can count with certain budgets, so please reach out if you have concerns about currently booked services or future services.

This weekend we FINALLY got Smores’ DNA test results back from Embark. We were told she was a Collie/Mastiff/Shepherd/Retriever, but she is so unique we had to know exactly what was going on under the hood.
We had a small celebration for Smores because we were so excited to find out exactly what makes her her.
As it turns out, the rescue was mostly right, but instead of Mastiff she has Cattle Dog in her! That also means that all of her dominant breeds are high drive working dogs! No wonder she is such a rocket.
Would you have guessed any of these breeds? We definitely thought there would be hound of some sort based on how powerful her sniffer is.

Frigid weather out there again! Walks will be shorter for dogs (and people) who can’t handle the cold. Make sure you’re always prepared for the weather. Boots, paw balms, coats and sweaters can be super important to keep your dog safe and happy out there. Anything is better than nothing as well!
Keep in mind dogs can be just as susceptible to frost bite as we are, so always monitor for signs of them being cold in weather like this. Ears, eyes, nose, and paw pads can all become frost bitten!
Stay warm out there!
